he says as he scrunches up his nose. He looks at me knowingly, and I purse my lips and avoid eye contact. "Both of us?" Mavy asks and shoots me a glance. "Mavy must have rubbed off on me Alpha." Alpha's are bigger, better, and their senses are 10 times stronger than the average wolf. I know he could see through my lie. "Hmm..." Alpha Joshua murmurs. He seemed to be mulling something over as Mavy ripped open the bag of chocolates.

Wolves from dozens of backgrounds creating something diverse and strong and healthy. The twins were eight now. Aiden and Luna. Junior Alphas in training. Learning to lead. Learning to use their True Alpha powers responsibly. Learning to be good instead of just strong. They were remarkable. Both of them. Kind and fierce and absolutely certain of their place in the world. They attended regular school. Had regular friends. Lived as normally as True Alpha children could. We'd given them that. Normalcy. Safety. Childhood.

The sounds of vicious howls, growls and snarls ring through the air as a cluster of wolves and vampires break through the tree line and begin to charge towards us. “MOVE FASTER, DO NOT LOOK BACK,” Alpha Paul shouts. “DO AS THE ALPHA INSTRUCTS,” their Alpha commands. “I will help you. They are mine to defend. JASON, DWAYNE, pick a spot and defend it,” he says loudly. I guess that Jason and Dwayne are his Beta and Delta.

The other, the only one I still didn't know the name of, spoke up, he seemed to be the most leader of the three. “You don't rule us, Ulric. We are the three Alphas, each their own packs. Don't treat me like I'm some moron under your orders." That Ronther hissed. He was the most stressed out of the three, the most unpleasant. I felt a certain wind in front of my face and I knew what was happening. They were seeing if I could see.

"This pack is my family, and together, we will make sure no one else falls." And as the pack erupted into thunderous applause, their voices full of hope and unity, it was the first time we'd been on the move, moving under a leader everyone believed in. Alph was the son of Ador, with the heart of bravery that had won his right to stand among the pack, and that pack was more than ready to follow him into whatever came next.

I asked and he smiled. “Zephyr Lyold” he answered and my heart beat faster. Oh God. I have just lap dances the most scary alpha in all of America

I moved a little closer to the group to hear better. “Just six years old, and already she’s got a chip on her shoulder,” someone else said, shaking her head bitterly. Another woman, the same woman who had taken the seat earlier, scoffed. “Well, can you blame her? She has no werewolf gift—she’s likely wolfless. Recently, she was even taken to the hospital for an evaluation…” Alpha Dominic and his late wife were both Alphas. How could they have a wolfless child?

I had asked grandfather for counsel too, and the old man agreed to my plan. So all was set. All that I needed to do was say the words. But for some reason, I was scared. I cleared my throat, ignoring the slight pang of fear slithering down my spine. "As you all know that as the Alpha, the woman who bears my kid, who shares the mate bond with me, will be the Luna. And as you are all also aware, Dahlia is the mother of my kids. And she is my mate. Which, automatically, makes her the Luna of the Pack."

She squeezed her hold on the Mate Rejection Scroll she already signed, her voice cold and firm. "Declan Jordan," she said "I reject you as my Alpha Mate."
