“She is still here in the pack, right?” “Yes,” he answered. He glanced at Elena and the children before turning to face me. “She is leaving, Alpha. She is leaving today, and she told me to inform you personally.” I opened and closed my mouth, clearly short of words. I remembered that my wolf had howled her name, calling her ‘Mate.’ I know she had felt that bond too, but I didn’t even think twice about disregarding her after hearing everything I wanted. Sebastian stepped closer and looked at me with soft, pitiful eyes. “Alpha, I know what happened,” he said barely above a whisper. “I don’t know why the Moon Goddess would grant you another mate, but…”
