ALTHEA. I wanted to call Lucy. As soon as I got to the room, I closed the door and grabbed the receiver to dial the Mystic Pack phone number. Lucy gave me her office number, but no one was picking up there. It was only a quarter past seven, and she might be asleep. But I had to try. I waited some more, as I was sure her phone line would automatically transfer to Alpha Adan’s office if she didn’t pick up. “Alpha Stone,” the man said from the other line. And from the grumpiness in his voice, I was sure he didn’t appreciate someone calling him too early.

Yet, it’s always better than pretension. “Pick up, pick up, pick up, pick up.” – Alora was murmuring when still, the other line won’t. The ringing was all its doing. Until the “beep” she was waiting for sounded. Alora almost fell from her seat when a deep, throaty and utterly familiar voice said hello on the other end of the call. “H….Hi.” – she ran out of words to say. She couldn’t believe it. No, not at all.

I figured the first place to start was to call Moonlight College for some clarification. "Hello, this is campus admissions, Moonlight College. How can I help you?" A woman with a chipper voice said. "Hello, my name is Juliana Anderson. I received my letter of acceptance today." "Congratulations!" the admissions administrative assistant said. "Do you have a question about student orientation?" "Thank you, but I'm calling to ensure my acceptance is in the system." I heard some fast typing. Then, a stop. "Hmm. What did you say your name was?"

Alex P.O.V. We’re on our way to Isabella’s pack, when my phone goes off. The number is unfamiliar, and even though I don’t usually pick up calls that are blocked, something tells me to pick this up. “Hello?” “Alpha Alex? This is Beta Dale, I have tried to get a hold of you for the past four hours.”

I snapped my head towards it and contemplated if I should pick it up or not. I usually don´t. The Pack business was something I didn´t bother to meddle with but for some reason, my inner self was urging me to pick it up. "Blue Meadow´s Pack, this is Alia. How may I help you?" I just found myself picking up the phone and putting on a jolly voice. Silence. My brow arched up. Why the person on the other line wasn´t answering? I checked the phone line and screen if it was connected. "Hello?"

“Aaron, Alpha Zachariah.” “This is a surprise. What can I do for you?” “Can you hold the line? I have to add two more Alpha’s to this call?” “Certainly.” I press the conference button and then tap in the next number. “Alpha Damien here.” “Damien, Alpha Zachariah.” “What can I do for you, Alpha?” “Can you hold the line I have one more to add?” “Of course.” Again, I press the conference button and then tap in the final number. This one takes a little longer to answer and when she does, she seems out of breath.

General POV "You imbeciles!" Came the loud roar of a man flipping the contents of the table. He raged at the men in suits all lined up in front of him with their heads respectfully bowed. He had a little Italian assent in his tone as he hissed in disdain and cussed at the men in front of him. "How are you supposed to tell me that you have no idea where the Alpha is? You're supposed to be the best with your nose yet you come to me with excuses up your asses. What is this?"

Gerald Fitch’s direct line was listed in the registry. I had never used it before. He had never expected me to. I picked up my phone. And I dialled. It rang three times. Then it connected. And the voice that answered was not Gerald Fitch.

When Alpha Hunter picked up the phone, he begins to bang the receiver before he said, “The phones are out too.” In a panic, he begins to pull out his drawers looking for something. Finally, he pulled out a cell phone that I forgot we all kept for emergencies. Opening the phone, he turned it on and began to dial a number. Thankfully, I could hear the phone ringing and prayed that the call would go through. Alpha Caleb’s voice answered the phone, and Alpha Hunter didn’t waste any time saying, “She is on her way there. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

Alfred reached into her bag to take the phone out. Jessie was afraid that there would be any number that would make Alfred suspicious. Just as she was anxious to reach out and grab the phone, Alfred looked up at her. "An unfamiliar number. It's from overseas. Should I help you pick it up?"
