“The room is changing.” Everyone turned. The room beyond the doorway looked brighter now. Warmer. More alive. The shadows had disappeared. The window glowed with silver-gold light. And the book itself no longer seemed ancient. It seemed unfinished. Waiting. Arthur noticed it too. “The pages.” Silence. Several blank pages had appeared after the written ones. Empty. Ready. Ama stared at them. A strange ache filled her chest. Not sorrow. Possibility. The book wasn't ending. It was waiting for a continuation.

Amber said, her voice cracking as she pretended to cry. The people in the room seemed to be swayed by Amber's words, and they felt a pang of sympathy for her, thinking that she was being mistreated by Livia. To everyone, Amber seemed like an angel - kind-hearted and loving. Her gentle nature and caring demeanor had people perceiving her in a very positive light. However, Livia felt like vomiting, knowing that Amber was just manipulating everyone.

The library was quiet, the afternoon sunlight filtering through the stained-glass windows. Anna sat alone at the far corner, the mysterious book, The Reflection Game, spread open before her. Her finger traced the intricate designs on the yellowed pages, her heart pounding with both excitement and unease. The cryptic instructions whispered to her, their meaning elusive but tantalizingly close. She didn’t understand why she felt so drawn to the book, but she couldn’t let it go. Amber asked herself and moved her eyes to look at Hazel. She walked to the counter and dropped a book she took from the shelf, on the table. “What is this?” she asked. “A novel of romance genre.” “Exactly. Why? Or what is it doing here?” Amber asked. “Relax. I know you can read that. It’s the same as yesterday but let’s just say it’s a fluctuation. It’s just like you are seeing a thing in two different ways,” Hazel explained and Amber only stared at her. “You are messing with my head,” Amber blinked and dipped her hand into her hair.

Confronting would mean being confrontational and saying things that might eventually be regretted, I don’t think either Amber or Nathan are ready to do that. I caught Nathan looking at me over the top of the book that he was reading or not reading because the book is literally upside down, I don’t think he notices. Our eyes met and he focused back on the upside down book. I know he wants to talk to Amber but his pride wouldn’t let him… I know she wants to talk to him to but she thinks he hates her, so yeah that’s where the dismissive avoidance tendencies comes in. I walked to the door and opened it gently as quietly as I can trying not to disturb Nathan’s reading that I know he definitely is

The elevator door opened as we stood inside and I finally freed my arm out of Bruce's. He gazed down at me and I looked up at him. His jaw was clenched and I wondered what was going through his mind. I gasped inwardly when he came over me, with his hands at the sides of my head as he glared down at me. He leaned his chest closer and I placed my hands on it making him growl under his breath. For some reason his growl made my heart thump. "Wh- what?" I asked him under my breath. He cupped the sides of my waist and I could feel tingles over me. His eyes were full of a certain kind of anger emotion and another but I couldn't decipher.

There was no other option, he stood up and went to the bookcase, took a random book and opened it on a random page. I need to relax, he thought. A lot has happen resently. IV Albin turned towards the brazier in the middle of the room. The warmth emitted a sense of security and comfort, in the process, heating the whole room and his worried face. A lot of things were on his mind. He moved closer. The brazier casted long dark shadows on his pale faced. The fire jumped in the air. He moved a step back. It moved up and up, stopped above his head, it stood there. Albin looked at the fire; it changed shape, morphed and became that same dragon.

"Oh! Sorry we disturbed you. My brother is also looking for some books, that's the reason I'm here." She nodded. I pushed Amber, signalling her to check the books I had placed in the corner. Amber went to the corner to look and her eyes followed Amber's figure. She is in deep thoughts contemplating something. She looks like she wants to say something but doesn't know how to. While she was looking at Amber I was looking at her. It's amusing to read all her emotions from her eyes instead of her face. Unknowingly a slight smile came on my lips while looking at her. She suddenly turned towards me. I looked away faster than the speed of light.

Because it had always been this way. Everything had led here—not to a battle of strength, not to destruction, but to something far more dangerous. Choice. Again. But deeper this time. Final.
