Dark spiked teeth. Talons. Spiders and cockroaches. Snakes hissing. The skeletons drawing closer and closer until... He closed his mind to his surroundings, to all shared pathways, so there was no chance anyone could be feeding his own fears. It had to be hallucination brought on by a vampire or mage. No matter that he had stopped anything from entering his brain-something malicious was already present. Fire ringed him, crackling flames reaching greedily toward the sky and stretching like obscene

Or worse? The scenarios that raced through my head were like a rerun of a horror film with each one getting scarier than the last. Was she somewhere without a signal? Had she been in an accident? Had someone done something? Then Panic struck, a chilling creeping feeling that began at my toes and quickly ascended to my chest. My breath caught in my throat and became shallow. All my mind could produce was a whirlpool of horrifying possibilities as it searched for a rational explanation—any explanation that did not involve catastrophe. The idea made the elaborate patterns on the wallpaper swim before my eyes and gave me a new wave of nausea.

The room became a chamber of horrors, a stage set for a grotesque play of vengeance. Shadows danced upon the walls, whispering their secrets of torment and despair. The air turned fetid, tinged with the stench of impending doom, as my threat enveloped the very essence of Leo's being, clawing its way into the recesses of his mind.

Jon only gave me a brief side glance, almost looking askance at me, but said nothing and continued to drive deeper into the woods. The cabin was now beyond a humble abode, to me the brown wooden structure tarnished with white and black from failed attempts to revive its derelict appearance with paint, resembled those haunted cabins in the woods in horror movies and those cabins were infamous for many things- none of which are pleasant. I felt like I was walking into some deformed serial killer's lair or into a domain for creatures of the night and supernatural entities; ghosts, vampires and wicked witches with an appetite for human flesh.

But the light was very weak, it made the corridor seem like it stretched for eternity. Uri looked at the hazy space in front of her, subconsciously remembering the usual corridors of hotels or apartment buildings in horror movies. Although there were lights, the last point could not be seen clearly, the surrounding space therefore also became strangely murky.
