Roy whimpered as each set of jaws released the same horrid, hissing sound before clamping on his flesh. The noise was far worse than anything DiStefano’s puppets had produced—more primal than a Foley artist’s wet dream. It mingled with the crunching of bones and the sloshing of innards.

It was too dark to make out the complete picture of the monster but she was able to see the scale running down its back.
