"Come on, I'll sneak you to a place where you can get treated." We didn't make it far. John appeared in front of us with a group of men. "And where do you think you two are going." He nodded towards us and his men seized us. John walked up to Ethan and slapped him. "I'm so fucking tired of you siblings always sneaking away. One is a murderer and the other is insane." A murderer?I looked at Ethan but he averted his eyes. John continued, "Take him away, we'll deal with both of them."

I took my back when the man nodded at me, but then got halted when I saw Alpha Jacob walking toward us. “Brother! Finally, you came. I’ve been waiting for you for quite some minutes now.” What? Alpha Jacob has a brother?

Devastatingly beautiful. My cheeks heated up, my heart squeezing in my chest as I soaked up his image like sponge soaking up water. He looked like an angel. A dark archangel of sorts with the sharp harsh beauty of his face, the dark stormy look in his eyes, inky dark hair falling over his forehead in luscious curls, over eyes that glowed like smoke curling over transparent glass. "Gone?...I don't understand" I mumbled with widened eyes which glued to Anabelle. She smiled, "Listen, the Alpha is my father, Nelson is my brother, not a step, but my biological brother although our mother is late. I burst into tears and he quickly hugs me. But then I remember what happened last time, so I push him away. “Oh, my goodness. Is it that much serious?” He says and pats my back. “Caleb. I can’t. They will help you.” he says, but I stop him quickly.

I ask out, moving to take Angel from her to give her a break. “He’s been acting…differently. He’s not been himself. He keeps on saying, I won’t let it take him, it does with me. But the third got lucky, catching him with a blow to the head when he was distracted. He went down hard. That's when I saw the silver blade in the leader's hand, aimed straight at brother's heart.

I raised my brow as if daring them to argue. I saw the confusion upon their faces. They clearly did not expect me to come at them from that angle. Or to suggest my brother's future child be the next-in-line. “You would give up the chance of bearing your own heir to allow your brother’s child to become Alpha?” Anthony asked gently. “That is a huge sacrifice just for the sake of being stubborn.”
