And he kept the leader of the gang just barely alive till I woke up. He told me to do whatever I wanted with him and I did." She laughed out loud. "He pleaded with me so many times for death but I did not kill him. Marcos was the one who took pity on him and ended his life." She observed him, he was looking at her weirdly. She did not understand the expression on his face so she shaked it off.

Angel adjusted the box she was holding under one arm and placed her free hand on her hip, looking at him with disgust for a moment before her face began to fall. “Don’t bother making promises you can’t keep and besides, it’s too late anyway.” The sadness in her voice might have been enough to tell Layon how she felt but it was in that moment that he saw a flash of memory in his mind’s eye, a woman who looked much like Angel but slightly older, a woman who was no longer around. The color drained from Layon’s face as he suddenly remembered Angel’s mother and how she had taken her own life shortly after her husband was banished, leaving Angel alone in the Alpha pack.

Angel paced about in his room, he continuously ran his hands through his hair and tried to block out the memories that were running through his head. FLASH BACK "Latifa is dead." Aracely said as she stared at Angel, her eyes were blood shot, her lips were brusied from all the biting and her insides were doing all sorts of things, Her hands shook as she reached out to Angel's free hand he took her hand and now the three of them were holding hands.

And since killing any living creature was forbidden to Angels, the punishment would be their life. Although they were vampires and they only execute them to save humans, they had nothing to do, whether they like it or not, it’s like a curse in their blood. If an angel kills a living creature, they will soon go weaker and weaker each day, until they lose their breath, and no cure could save an angel from their death, NO CURE at all.

It was a sombre affair that evening for all of them. Each one of them sat down at the kitchen table, scared to meet each other's eyes or even utter a single word. Not one of them could believe that their daughter was no longer with them and that they would never see her again. Her usual seat at the dining table lay vacant and deserted. Nobody had the confidence to even look at it. None of them wanted to truly believe that she was dead.
