Chapter 14. Angela has a dream where she's tied to a tree surrounded by blue water, she looks down at the water but she sees a different person as her reflection, a more powerful and stronger female that looks like her, but she could swear it wasn't her. Her reflection looked more lively, happy , chubby and refreshed. She paused for a second to notice if anything would happen to her reflection, but it was still there staring right in the face. Angela became even more scared, because she had never seen such a thing before. How can a reflection or shadow be more healthier than the person who owns the reflection?

said Aluna telling Angel who was currently sitting in front of them with a flat gaze. "I understand it because after all, you don't know me and it's natural to be like that," she said without feeling offended at all. Kevan sighed for a moment, his feelings right now dizzy with so many things to think about. With his flat gaze, he noticed Angel's appearance, which he thought was perfect like someone from a rich family, especially since the child was so beautiful with green eyes. Actually, who is that child? Why can Reya bring home a child they don't even know where they come from?

I saw my Angel stiffen in the woman's embrace, then, to my surprise, she relaxed. Then, Agnes announced that her brother would be coming to visit, and I felt like my world was collapsing. He might mistake my Angel for his daughter, and that wasn't a good idea. When my Angel asked me why, I patiently explained. Agnes then brought her a plate of scrambled eggs and brushed against my Luna's shoulder. It was at that moment that I sensed something coming from my Luna, as if she were having a flashback. But the girl in her vision couldn't have been more than two years old. In the vision, there was a younger version of Agnes. I looked at Agnes, completely bewildered. Angel: Agnes?

How did she even enter the mansion and cause all of my family members to turn unconscious? “Y–you look similar to the woman who was hiding in the Edge when the attack against the vampires happened.” I muttered. She raised a brow, “I figured you would find out soon. Since your wolf is communicating with you through your child.” She spoke in a calm voice. “Huh? My wolf? Agni is dead. Or is she not?” I held my head. All of this was so confusing. None of this made sense. Why was Angela standing here? Angela slowly walked away from the crib and sat on the edge of the bed. The same bed where Ray and I slept. “You must be very confused. I’ll explain everything to you.”

While dozens of wolves with Renald in the front running on the street below us. “Sarah J Maas. She writes books about faes with great erotic sceeeeEEENNS!” The angel just took another sharp turn to the right. But a wolf jumped from the building on the right. Luckily, Renald had appeared –or as the angel said, winnowed, to the wolf and snapped its neck right then. “You have weird references, huh?” the angel continued, “Hold on tight.” “I’m already holding on tight!” “Then hold on tighter.”

Yet, even when I close my eyes, I cannot blink away the illusion that absorbs my thoughts. “You have no place to give me orders!” Clangor hits along with mother’s yell, just before the voice changes to Owen’s own. “Listen to me, dark Angel!” “Nooo!” Echoes of my scream fills the metal room as I try to get him out of my head even when I know how pointless it is—

“No, they are her real parents. But there is an old vampire bloodline mixed deep inside Luna Pamela's family. Angela is the one to fully awaken it.” “Cassian…” Angel's soft voice calls my name. I spin toward her, relief flooding me. “You are awake,” I say. I hurry to her side and sit on the edge of the bed. I cup her warm cheek in my large hand. “How are you feeling, Angel? Do you feel any pain? Does it hurt anywhere?” She shakes her head against my palm. “I am fine. Cassian. How is Lucien? I really hope I did not frighten him.”

Cordelia stole glances at David as he immersed himself in his chosen book, noticing the dimples that adorned his smile for the first time. "What's making you smile?" Cordelia inquired, her curiosity brimming. "It's the book," David replied, his voice filled with genuine delight. "It's really good." In that tranquil moment, Cordelia realized that her attraction to David ran deeper than she had acknowledged. The peaceful setting and the closeness of their bodies ignited a spark within her, compelling her to take a leap of faith. Suddenly, David looked up from his book, locking eyes with Cordelia. "Hey," he said softly, his voice laced with tenderness. "Come here. Come closer."

Amber climbed in, sliding under the duvet beside her best friend, the bed dipping slightly under her weight. She lay closer to the night lamp, flipped open the book, and took a deep breath. She shoved Raven’s voice aside, her wolf seemed to have something to say, some opinion about running back to Mason, and forced herself to focus on the words. Her eyes landed on the first paragraph. "In a land where angels and demons live together…” she muttered aloud, voice quiet and hesitant as she continued reading. Bella shook her head fondly, already drifting off to sleep beside her, breathing evening out into soft, even puffs.

When she leaves with her sister I go to the window. I look at the book that "Frankenstein" was written. I don't know why the corners of my lips turn up a bit. It is my favorite book. ***
