The lanterns flickered and died, leaving only the pale, sickly moonlight filtering through the window where I stood. I watched in horror as the thing on the floor didn't stand up like a human. It buckled. Its spine snapped and reshaped, its limbs elongating with the sound of dry wood splintering. "Silas!" I screamed. My grandfather stood his ground. He reached into his satchel and threw a handful of salt, but the creature didn't recoil. It inhaled. The salt hung in the air for a second before being sucked into the thing’s lipless mouth.

I hated it. "Do you think that we could get the humans a spell before they leave the blood bank?" I asked as we ate. "Why?" Sammy asked. "My family made a spell a few months ago that saves humans from the Nightmare. If the humans in the blood bank have been here long enough, they may not have a natural immunity to the Nightmare and they could be at risk if they leave the building." I explained. "No shit?" Paul asked and my family all nodded in agreement. "You really found a way to save them?" Stone clarified.

My Nightmare Natty's POV It was morning already and last night was a long night. I never knew he was that insatiable.I lot count as to how many times we did it. Thinking about it, I smiled. I looked over to him and smiled more. He was still sleeping like a baby. I tried standing up but I felt pain in my thighs. I tried again but I just groaned. My groaning woke him up,he was baffled and asked. "Baby are you alright..."he asked in a husky voice.

Sarah asked, the grin on her face spanning from corner to corner as she listened and laughed at the seven foot tall golden robot hurling what Evelyn considered vaguely offensive insults, and making mildly sinister comments about the female members of the audience. “My brain is bigger than yours,” Elektro spouted to his handler on the raised dais. “There’s a seventy-eight rotation per minute record player embedded inside him,” Evelyn explained. “Don’t you dare let your father hear you repeating that,” she warned Peter beside her as he parroted one of Elektro’s jibes. “He’s not overly fond of this particular demonstration, even if Elektro is an amazing attraction for the Fair.”

Then, one tear after another began to roll down her cheeks, each one carefully timed for maximum effect. "Lizzie, have you lost your mind?" Johnny snapped, leaping to her defense. "What is wrong with you? We were bored waiting for you, so we decided to watch a movie. How was I supposed to know it was a horror film? You barged in, scared her, and this is how you react?"

I got a couple pillows stuffed behind me, and Tali helped wedge one under my knees after she dropped the Nightmare Recovery Kit on the bed. Once we both got comfortable, we queued up the nighttime movie-thon. First up? Transformers. Unrealistic explosions, close to zero believable romance. Anita merely let out a dark chuckle. "Oh, I can, and I will. This is just the beginning, Dannie. You won't be a problem for much longer." She said. With those ominous words, Anita left the room, leaving me trapped in my nightmare. ****** I had been tied to the iron pole for what felt like hours. Throughout that time, my mind raced with thoughts of escape. My wrists ached from the rough ropes that bound them, and I had to bite my lip to stifle a groan of pain. From within the ground appeared many giant black shadows that were four meters tall with huge and terrifying faces. On the head, there was only a gaping mouth with irregular pointy fangs. Their tongues were pink and long protruding while floundering and dripping poisonous saliva in various places. The Nightmares' hands were long, pointed claws and could extend at will. Their mouths rattled and moved at high speed. GRAAAAAAAAWRRRRRRR!!!!

He didn’t give the leader of the creatures any sort of expression or signal. Gonar stood before the mass of the beastmen. The youth, though, was at work, assembling a simple flat plank of wood over two heavy blocks. The makeshift table became a natural altar when Drust pulled two wretched red objects from a bag on the ground. He held aloft these objects, hearts, and crushed them together, chanting words. Gonar stepped back as two ravens fluttered down from the sky. A few of the Greymen stepped forward, wanting to swipe at such things, but their King growled to keep them back.
