Time passed quickly when life became busier. With the tea menu and new seasonal creations, Tynan found himself quickly swept away by the things he needed to do. Laura did her best to help out at work and they often spent the evenings being quiet, unwinding the long day with some of Tynan's favourite anime. Laura didn't know much about anime initially. Her opinion about it was that they were for children until Tynan introduced her to some hard-boiled sports anime that Laura quickly got hooked on. The other reason is that her parents usually nag her to “stop watching cartoons” because “you can’t gain anything from them” when she watches on the living room TV. Before she could convince them of anything, Kate would first have to define cartoons and animes. Her parents don’t think there’s a difference between the two and their nascent idea of anime includes Princess Sarah, Cedie: The Little Prince, and other eponymous, even mononymous works like Charlotte and Heidi.

“What the hell is freaking you out so much Ana?” I groan, running my hands roughly through my hair. “I don’t know! I just can’t stop thinking about how he freaked out when he found out I can control minds and I’m so worried he’ll freak out even worse about this.” “Well then definitely don’t think about what he’ll say when he finds out that you can probably do even more than that.” “That’s not funny!” I snap. “Maybe not but your angry face is hysterical." I glare murderously at her. “Keep pissing me off and I promise it won’t be funny for long,” I warn.

"Did you see that?" Jonathan asked excitedly, nudging Amanda's shoulders and pointing to the TV where Naruto was currently playing. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the TV, "yeah I did, that was super cool" she said even tho she has no idea what he was talking about, she hasn't been paying attention to the anime, and not because she didn't want to.

I looked at him but he had already grabbed the remote. "Do you watch anime?" He asked as he scrolls through the TV. "Yeah" I replied. I couldn't stop looking at him. "Why don't we make things more interesting." He said. He played a boys love anime. I gulp. We sat, eating popcorn.....I think I had too much to drink. Anytime I see an intimate scene, I just chug in my glass. After the anime was finished, I was really intoxicated. My eyes slowly starts to close. I felt a kiss on my lips, my eyes opens a little.

I giddly replied, “I told you, you should’ve read the manga.” “I don’t like spoilers!” “I keep telling you that the manga comes out before the anime!” “Well stop introducing me to shows before I get a chance to read them! I haven’t even gotten a chance to finish reading what’s left of “Hunter X Hunter” before you insisted I watch, “My Hero Academia”!” “Okay. Fair.” I admitted. She did make a fair point. There have been moments when I get too excited about the chance to binge watch anime with Dola, only to later insist that she reads the manga. It’s a bad habit that I’m trying to break. But it’s also a habit that we share/

“I woke up the other morning and all I could think of was Gundam Wing. It's weird because I remember watching it, but I don’t remember what it was about. It was just so random.” “I’ll tell you what, let’s watch it together.” I smile. But I wonder if we have already watched it before. “Hey, does anyone else like anime?” “You mean Violet or Daren?” “Or Greg.” I add. Samantha sighed. “No, not really. They tolerate it for my sake though when it's my turn to pick a movie for Friday night. But hey, I sit though Jess’ cheesy rom-coms and Daren’s horror films so it's only right.”

I wiped it off my face immediately and clenched my jaw. I tried to bring up a conversation, "So you didn't sleep last night because…?" I remembered her yawning in the car and telling me she lost herself in a series I had no idea about. "I was binge-watching my favorite anime series…for the thirteenth time," Evangeline said proudly, her eyes still on the menu. "There's a price to pay for happiness." I smiled back. I didn't know anything about TV series because half the time, I was trying to catch the subtitles— it felt like a challenge. "That's beautiful. I'd…love to do that with you someday." The words squeezed themselves out faster than I could imagine.

" Really! I want to see cartoons ", Anjali holds the remote. " Are you a kid huh! Most of the women of your age like to watch movies or web series ", Alex made fun of her. " It's boring, I mean! Human lives are full of emotions and movies or web series added more emotions. But the cartoons make you relaxed ", Anjali stated.
