**Anna's POV** For the past week, everything had been strangely quiet. There were no threats from our enemies, no sudden attacks, and no disturbing news. It felt like we were living in a calm that I hadn't experienced in a long time. With Harvey and my father working side by side, managing the business, things were running smoother than I could have hoped for. Their collaboration had brought a sense of stability to our lives that I didn't want to take for granted. But deep down, I knew this peace wouldn't last forever. I caught myself checking my phone more frequently than usual, half hoping for news, half dreading it. Anna, for her part, threw herself into small, manageable tasks during those days, cataloguing details for the museum exhibit she had returned to slowly, organizing corners of the house that had gone neglected during the worst of the grief. I understood, watching her, that she needed something within her control while the largest question of her life remained entirely outside it.

My painful scream filling the dawn. ‘I came out of my room because of the noise, rubbing the sleep off my eyes. When I turned the corner I stumbled on something. Looking down I saw Aria, my nanny. Why she slept here on the floor? Her eyes were open. My hands slipped off her neck when I touched her. There was blood. Like on the bird I saw last week. She was dead. But why? I love nanny? I hear shouting behind us and turn to look. I see flashes of black and white feathers in the trees and curse loudly. A sudden flash of fire between my shoulders makes me scream and loosen my grip. I grit my teeth as I hear the Council guards moving closer. “Ana what are you doing?” Diana yells as I start pushing myself to my feet.
