For a moment, there was silence and then I loosened my grip. Her shaky breath was mixed with the stark silence that plagued the room. She realized I was getting impatient and decided to talk. “My name is Annabel from Spring pack. Please, do not hurt me,” she pleaded with her hands cupped together like she was praying to some gods. Her words seemed to make my world collapse, the weight of them crashing down like a tidal wave. I stared at her, in anticipation for any sign of the woman I love, but all I see is the cold, calculating soul that has taken her place.

The towering spires of Ravenshadow loomed in the distance, a comforting silhouette in the vast wilderness. "You seem more at ease than yesterday. Another visit to Barbara, I presume?" Xerxes observed, staring on the horizon, his tone casual yet probing. The image of Mira moaning, twisting in his arms earlier that night, flashed in Daemon's mind. He shook his head to clear it. "No, but you are right. I have fed." "How many? Ten? Twenty?" A hint of concern laced his words. "That must have been...stressful." If it were anyone else, Daemon would have let the conversation die. "One. A girl," he confessed, the memory of her taste still vivid on his tongue.

Annabelle's POV I sat on the couch of the living room patiently waiting for Adrien to come home from work. He was always late and I am used to it already but today feels different, he is never this late, it is 11:30 pm, two hours past his usual time, and still no sign of him, something is wrong.

A few brave men immediately rushed to the doors and blocked them. “That’s right, we can’t let them escape!” “They’re evil! How can they simply stab anyone with an infected needle? They’re basically harming innocent people!” The hall suddenly lit up. Mary was finally frantic. She looked at the angry and fearful gazes around her and hugged Charlie. “What are you doing? Why are you targeting us? “It isn’t AIDS! That’s just red ink!” She yelled and explained, but her voice was already trembling. I glared at her coldly as though I was staring at a dead person.

That was the most dangerous thing, yet he ignored all warnings. Annabelle and Sheila finally got home, they met with Sia and Kevin when she entered the mansion. Sia bowed and tried to walk away but Annabelle pulled her back. "Don't leave my dear. I understand you don't like me, but I'm not here to fight with you. I just want to explain things to you and hug you. I want to make up for all the bad things I have done to you. I deserve everything I got, you're a kind girl to stay with my son despite all that hardship." Annabelle said.

But most of all, she felt a deep sense of betrayal. "Why?" she demanded, her voice shaking with rage. "Why are you doing this?” Damian's expression remained calm, almost detached, as he revealed his true intentions. "I'm not after you or Camille, Annabelle. I'm after Devon." Annabelle's eyes narrowed, her anger simmering just below the surface. "You're after Devon? Then why bring us into this?"

It changed from a red flame to a forest green. "No way." Annabelle said, shocked. I kept raising my hand until I lifted it all the way up onto Angel's nose, just in front of its eyes and Angel just sat there staring at me. She didn't try to attack me. She didn't try to kill me. "I've never seen her eyes like that before." Annabelle says pushing past me and looking into Angel's eyes. "I guess I passed the test." I say, still looking into Angel's eyes. "I can't believe this. You're the one." Annabelle says, looking at me. But her whole demeanor changed. She wasn't acting childlike anymore. I think that was all put on. She was acting normal now.

"Everyone are all fine. The spirit realm is so peaceful and quiet, everyone seems happy in there than here on Earth. " She nodded happily. " What about you? " " Much better. " She replied with an additional smile. That's right... It's been much better living with the demons. It's been much better knowing them and of all, it's a lot better falling in love with the devil's son. " How is it been with Demons?" She asked again. " It's all like home with them. I thought I'd never survive but here I am, sitting right beside you, it's all because of them. " She buried her eyes to the ground. " Mother... I'm married. " She rose her eyes at her mother.

Demon who had been hiding in the shadows and heard their conversation made himself visible. Annabel turned and smiled at Demon. "Demon, should I call this fate or what?" She asked with a fake smile. "I now know the face behind all the recent attacks I have been having, I never thought we would meet again but we did, indeed, this is fate. You are truly met to die by my hand," Demon said to her with familiarity.
