Chapter 57 The following afternoon, the sun beat down bright and hot, as though daring Annie to back out of her plan. She didn’t. By noon, she had already packed her bag with a notebook, a pen, and her phone. She left the house with a carefully rehearsed excuse for her mother. “We’re doing research at the town library,” Annie said smoothly. “It’s for our Civic Education assignment.” Her mother nodded, not suspecting a thing. “Don’t stay out too late.”

I find my way to the fourth floor and our suite where Phoenix and Rhys are reading in the middle of the bed with Aiden, as Mum sits in a rocking chair with Roan. Beatrice said in an attempt to make the matter die down and make the moody Joy, happy again. Aunty Mimi came out with Joy's favourite drink and placed it on the table. Joy smiled and collected it. "I think I became invisible in this house the moment Beatrice became your nanny" she said with a smile and Beatrice laughed. "Is my favorite Aunty Mimi jealous?, You are always my favorite no matter what" Joy said and stretched her hand forward for a hug. Aunty Mimi was amazed by her naughty way of coaxing and teasing an elder. She sure is one of a kind.
