Being diagnosed of having social anxiety at the young age was very hard for Phitrice. After witnessing her beloved parent's death she became aloof to everyone and nightmares had been visiting her every night. Attending psychiatric therapy was the only way her sister think to make her back into Phitrice that they used to know. I watch as he gently places the gun on the table. Seconds tick by a heavy silence filling the room. He takes a stand and makes his way to me. His traces my knuckles before grabbing my notebook out of my hands, and tossing it on the table. "I wasn't done with that." I say. He laughs, I feel his chest rumble as he laughs. I turn to face him, feeling my breaths shorten with each passing second. "Eyes on the prize, Lana." He turns my head back towards the table. "You choose the notebook you can go back to living your life in fear and delusion, then one day end up dead in a dumpster or," He brushes a strand of hair from my face, " You could pick up the gun and hunt your past which shall it be Lana?" I feel beads of sweat on my back and my anxiety prickling through my skin. I have to choose, here and now. I extend my hand and pick my choice.

Hendell always look for ways and means to create things that makes her happy through writing. She loves poetry and literature. She found freedom and strength when she is constructing words to create a beautiful creation. But in real life, she is aloof. Her doctor diagnosed her with Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD). That is why she is afraid of people and their judgements and criticisms. She find it hard to trust people so she close her doors and build a wall to protect herself from her own fears. But a guy named Harken suddenly came in the picture. In his presence and kindness, she found herself trusting so much. She learned to open up and discover the world outside her own imagination. However, all good things didn't last. Harken left her like everyone does that made her world turned dark again. And it get worse. She felt betrayed. Her heart filled with pain and bitterness. She became the opposite of her past self. When Harken came back, she knows what to do. Now, it’s her turn to hurt him.

Many times I have seen people struggling to talk with strangers or in public places. This was due to anxiety and nervousness that happens unintentionally in our body. We can’t control them but have to overcome them. I came across the word “Glossophobia” in 2014 when I was working on how to overcome stage fears. I have seen my friends and myself struggling to talk with strangers or to speak in public. There are cases where I have acted speechless. This is where the idea arrived and I have created a character “Abhirath Srivastav” who cannot talk with strangers or in public places due to a phobia called “Glossophobia”. The Character Abirath Srivastav does not represent any real life personality, it is solely of my imagination. The story “ The only hope” is a love story set in the style of 1994. The story is about an orphan boy who suffers from glossophobia; he can't talk to strangers or in public places. He finds it hard to stay in an orphanage and escapes to find a better place in his life. He meets a Christian girl in an unknown village and becomes her best friend. He speaks to her, but not to any other villagers. Things are not, however, what was expected. Half of the villagers migrate to another place for work, and they take the boy with them. The boy has to leave his favourite place and his only best friend. After 12 years, however, he meets her and here how the story takes its turn.
