Apollo couldn't say anything, tears streaming down his cheeks; he didn't know what to do or what was wrong with her. He was worried about her. He did not want anyone to harm her. "Calm down, baby, please," Xaun said, crouching down, but it was futile. Xaun could hear their foot pounding towards them, and he could feel the Alpha approaching them. Apollo was frightened even more and dashed to the corner, Luna asleep in his grip, seeing them as predators.

Alpha Apollo’s POV Ryder and Hazel stood by my side as we watched Ryder's henchmen bring tanks of water into my pack. The people around us cheered and danced, relieved that the long drought had finally ended. Some pack members had left in anger, while others had been forced to drink dirty water just to survive. "Hey, Apollo," Ryder playfully nudged me, noticing the faint whip marks on my body. "Been getting into some kinky stuff? Looks like you've had a wild night!"

Apollo sets me down and my heart skips a beat, he wanted to see our babies. “Oh Apollo” he places a kiss on my lips and I fight to hold back my tears. Carefully placing Phoe on the bed I lay down next to him, then lift the cover up I had put on up to my breasts. Apollo made way for Sam to pull the machine closer to the bed. I shivered a little when Sam applied the cold gel to my stomach before the wand. Moments later I could now see my beanie and cashew, Apollo was holding onto my hand his grip tightening when he saw them.

I keep my voice low. “No!” He abruptly responds, giving me a cold look for daring to suggest such a thing. “Around eighty percent…right Mav?” Giovanni starts but stops mid statement to check the exact figure. “..yes that’s right.” Mav confirms to Giovanni. “Eighty percent of alphas have pledged their packs to Aida…making her their Alpha Luna!” Giovanni delights in informing my brother. Silence…Henri is silent, until he can finally remember how to talk. “No…that’s not possible.”

The surface rippled like water before sharpening into an image. Luna. The Alpha Queen stood on her balcony, silver hair shimmering under the fading moonlight, her gaze fixed on the horizon. Kael stood beside her, their connection visible even through the glass—their bond, their passion. Morrakai sneered. "Love. Lust. Weakness."

Everyone’s heads snapped toward me. "Ari, go inside," Luna said, smiling softly but it didn't reach her eyes. "What’s going on?" "It’s nothing. Just go inside," she dismissed me. But I couldn’t move. Voices flooded my mind. Fred Moore. Alpha of Novera pack. Dangerous. I’d heard about him from my pack. "He’s dangerous," I said, wide-eyed. "GET INSIDE, ARIANA!" Aiden growled beside me, ready to shove me inside.

“For a while, I’ve wanted something badly, without actually realizing I’ve wanted that. And yesterday… for a moment, I thought… I have it. That it’s real. It’s true. Tell me, is it true?” A smile spreads across Melony’s face but it fades away just as soon. “Have you ever heard of an alpha being able to telepathically communicate with the beta of another pack? Only an alpha can communicate with members of his pack. But,” she pauses, looking away. “Do you know who else can communicate through minds despite not sharing a pack?” For a moment her words seem too good to be true. But I know that they make complete sense. My heart begins racing in my chest and I feel breathless all at the same time.
