We arrived at the school the next day for the dance. This was the first dance we were going to together as a couple. In the past few days, it seemed like we were getting closer. Alice was finding it harder to be away from Jared. When he was not doing Alpha stuff he actually spent time with her. The dress she wore was a simple navy blue dress that was slim and hugged all her curves. Jared surprised her with a gold necklace that had a charm of a wolf howling at the moon on it. Her first gift from her mate and she wore it proudly.

Focus, Ayla, I told myself, swallowing hard. But before I could pretend I hadn’t noticed him, Tammy made her grand entrance. She sashayed into the room in her heels, her ridiculously short dress clinging to her like a second skin. “Oh no!” she gasped dramatically, pretending to stumble right in front of Jake. He caught her reflexively, his strong arms wrapping around her to keep her upright. She let out a little giggle, her cheeks flushing bright red as she pressed her hands against his chest. “Thank you, Alpha,” she said breathlessly, looking up at him like he had just saved her life.

Alice blushed and averted her gaze, smiling. “First time someone’s compared me to a rainbow,” she whispered. I smiled at her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder as we walked side by side. Neither of us had anticipated staying out this late. Alice confided that she thought it’d just be a cup of coffee and then she’d head home. I told her that I wasn’t even sure if she’d show up for coffee, let alone extend the date to the park, the baseball diamond, and the waterfall. “You threw me from there!” Alice jumped excitedly from under the waterfall as she finally found the hill on the horizon where last night’s events had taken place. “How did you know I wouldn’t die?”

‘She seemed to be the happiest person at this wedding! Later. Alice realized that the excited crowd would keep shouting if they didn’t continue kissing. Alice smiled shyly as she wrapped her arms around Zayden’s neck and kissed him on the lips. Before she did so, she said in his ear, “Let’s see if the rainbow stays because we kiss.” Zayden had no idea Alice was going to kiss him at that moment. He said meaningfully, “Oh, it’s just a shame, we can’t see the rainbow at night!”

"We can fix that." We spent the next hour scouring the internet trying to find the perfect rainbow colored dress for me. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time, and we ended up ordering a knee length sleeveless summer dress with a faux-wrap bodice. Mitch ordered a T-shirt that said "I'm her butch" with a rainbow arrow in the pointing to one side. She also ordered us matching "I'm hers," "She's mine," T-shirts in rainbow prints.

Trouble looms It was my room mate Alicia, her face was looking pale and white, like she was down with an ailment or probably seen an alien and her mouth was thrown open. “Sorry, you had to see this” I apologized as I instantly put on my night robe while Jake dressed up quickly. Alicia's mouth stayed open and she could not close it. Jake hurriedly left while I saw him to the door, Alicia slowly sat down quietly. "Bye darling" I hugged him as he waved goodbye to me.

I instinctively grabbed the female before she could fall. Once I was sure she was steady on her feet, I released her. Stepping back, I looked at the girl, ready to apologize, but saw the familiar dazzling rainbow dress that seemed a size too small compared to earlier. It was the same dress Accalia wore at the party, except she wasn’t wearing a mask. “Finally, I found you.” I quickly sidestepped around her to block her path in case she tried to get away. “I need to talk to you.”

She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Here's a little something for you, as thanks for the dance last night." As he stepped away from her, a strong gust of cold wind blew. Alice used her hand to shield her face and she closed her eyes at the same time. When Alice opened her eyes, what she saw was simply magical. She was surrounded by several kinds of forest animals made up of frost. There were deer, birds, rabbits, squirrels, and more. They filled the pavilion, prancing around her and chasing each other. More frost were scattered around randomly and carried by the light and cold breeze constantly blowing through the pavilion.

I say to the pack. The pack elder smiles and hugs Laura. The entire pack is happy. I was unsure how they would react to their Alpha marrying a fairy, but they all seemed pleased. When I look over to Laura's parents, they do not seem upset at all. Maybe we were hiding this relationship when we did not need to hide it at all.
