Just another day at the office, or so Reyna believed until she logged into the game she was assigned to. Reyna worked as a game tester at Wolf Tech, one of the largest game developers in the country. The company just released a brand new full-dive Virtual Reality game, the day before the CEO of the company went missing. When she came across the CEO in the game, she learns that he is trapped inside. Not only that but if he dies in the game, he will die in real life. Since the game is a fantasy RPG, there are many dangers for Luka to face. To get out of the game, he must beat it. Because he can't do it alone, he must rely on Reyna to help him. He will also need her help outside of the game. As Reyna goes between the game and reality, she learns that her heart is left inside the game with Luka. It doesn't take long to also realize that not only is Luka a werewolf in the game, but he is also one in real life. To save him, she will need to face two worlds. One as an in-game fairy and the other as a human against the supernatural. Will Luka manage to beat the game, with her help, so he can escape in time to protect her?

C’est un discours pour le moins intrigant que tient le directeur adjoint de l’Organisation à Allyn, après lui avoir fortement conseillé de le suivre dans un lieu mystérieux.
D’après lui, Allyn possèderait le même don qu’Axel, son frère défunt, à savoir celui de circuler dans un monde parallèle… mais dans quel but ?
Tout cela la laisse perplexe. Même si depuis deux mois elle vit une situation pour le moins surprenante, ce n’est pas pour autant qu’elle va croire en ce genre de chose.
Et pourtant…
Entrainée par le flot de révélations et le désir d’en apprendre plus sur son frère, Allyn doit se rendre à l’évidence, l’Organisation et la mission qui lui est confiée semblent bien réelles ! Et tous comptent sur elle pour reprendre le poste qu’Axel a laissé vacant, à l’exception de son coéquipier pour une raison encore obscure…

What kind of whore are you? And is this your bastard daughter with him?” She locked us in the basement. No phone. No light. Just concrete walls and the stench of mildew and madness. Then came the fists. She slapped me across the face—again and again—until my skin stung and my ears rang. When that didn’t satisfy her, she pulled a gun and aimed low. The bullet tore through my knee. I bit back a scream, shielding Elara with my body. “You need to die, whore,” she spat. One of her men hesitated, “We should at least tell Mr. Hale first. If we are going to kill these two in his casino.” Lila of course said no. But that man brought Cassian anyway. My son stepped into this dark little room like it was any other Tuesday—until he saw me. His whole body went still. The blood drained from his face. And then, in the smallest, most broken voice I’d ever heard from him, he whispered, “Mom? What are you doing in my basement?”

The emergency center I worked in went haywire as the typhoon closed in on our town. That night, my husband’s first love made seven emergency calls in a row to me. However, she did not say anything when I picked up. By the eighth call, I thought it was a prank caller, so I gave them a piece of my mind. Then, I heard my husband’s angry voice. “Melinda! This is the eighth time Sadie's called you for help! Haven’t you made her suffer enough?!” After that fiasco, he decided to avenge Sadie by taping my mouth, tying my wrists and legs up, and throwing me into our basement for three whole days, despite it being flooded with seawater, I begged for mercy, but it was to no avail. “You knew Sadie couldn’t talk because she hurt her throat, yet you still hung up on her! I'm going to make sure you feel the same hopelessness she felt!" Those three days left me with a collection of severe infections. I ended up having to remove my kidney. Even after all that, that man still had the gall to kneel by my bed and beg me to give him another chance.
