STEPHEN'S POV It took a while, but Ardyn finally finished getting ready. And when he did, he came running out with an oversized jersey and jorts. The jersey was customised, clearly. It had the numbers zero and seven on the front and nineteen on the back. Also on the front, at the top left corner, was Ardyn's name in gold block letters with “ARD” being on top and “YN” being underneath. It was somehow done in a way that they were all still within the same space, regardless of the extra letter.

The husbands of her ‘friends’ stood around holding bottles of beer and leering at her, well, at her breasts any way, while the wives stood around shooting her death glares as if it was her fault that the men in their lives couldn’t keep their eyeballs in their heads! The costume she wore was in no way provocative but it did show a little skin, she was supposed to be a mermaid for fuck’s sake and it’s not like she chose the costume. Taking off his shirt, I realized there were so many hickeys on my body. I doubted it would be covered properly with the dress. Putting on the dress, it hugged all my curves perfectly. I still wasn't sure how he was able to get my size, but it was perfect. I let my hair fall around my shoulders.

I nearly freaked when I took out the strappy harness bralette with contrast lace, featuring small O-rings, though I could hardly object to a generous amount of cleavage in this kind of environment. Tatum’s POV The next morning, I woke up and began to freshen up for work. I chose a navy blue maxi dress made of a soft, ribbed jersey that draped elegantly to my ankles. It was professional yet comfortable, and I paired it with a thin leather belt to pull the look together. After a light touch of makeup—just enough to look awake—I walked to the dining area for breakfast. ​Arden was already there, hunched over his plate. He didn’t look up; he simply ignored my presence as if I were a ghost.

Once inside, he used his heat to weld the metal lock back together. To blend in with the costumed students, he had borrowed one of Balin's buckskin outfits. His usual moccasin-style shoes, a pair of buckskin gloves cut off at the fingertips, and a long brown and white eagle feather stuck in a braided headband completed the look. His bronzed complexion only enhanced the effect. He spotted Leesa near the bar, talking to a guy in a devil costume and a very skimpily dressed girl he recognized as her friend Cali.
