Egbert Ray stepped into view, his presence sending a wave of murmurs through the crowd. Egbert was a striking figure, his presence alone commanding attention. His tall, lean frame was clad in an elegant but practical combat uniform—a deep crimson with gold accents, the colours of Xeria. A long, ornate scabbard hung at his side, the hilt of the blade peeking out with intricate engravings. His jet-black hair was slicked back, giving him a refined yet intimidating appearance. His sharp, angular features carried a calm, almost serene expression, but his dark, piercing eyes gleamed with predatory focus.

Adara said emotionally. “That’s not all dear, I also kept your mother’s wedding dress, glad I did now!” Claire smoothed her dress down and tried to keep her emotions in check. “My mother’s dress …” Adara had new tears threatening to spill over her eyelids as she watched Claire. Claire took the dress from the bed and unzipped the protective cover. Adara gasped. It was a beautiful off-white mermaid style dress with a scooped neck and a tulle train with beading down to the hem. The see-through long sleeves and upper bodice were embroidered too. The back of the dress had buttons and was also embroidered. It was the most beautiful dress Adara had ever seen.

"I took off the heavy armor plating and extended the back train so it sweeps down your thighs like an elite warrior's tunic. Wearing it feels entirely different for this ceremony. Arissa said from behind me but I felt weird. The outfit was sexy all right. It was an elegant deep green belly dance costume. It had a bra that was decorated with beautiful patterns made of stones and crystals. The small belt that I strapped to my waist had garters that reached mid-thigh. The straps connecting the garter had heart-shaped sequined patterns with beads and stones on them.

I applied my make up with the thought of softening my prominent features to better disguise myself and completed the look with a deep red lipstick. I stepped out and Emerson whistled. Tally quickly slapped his arm as if offended. Was she jealous? Is there something going on with those two? Tally went with a Harley Quinn costume, which honestly suits her personality well. Emerson thought he was being funny by dressing up like a vampire. Percy was dressed like a Mafia guy with a pinstripe black suit. He even had a matching hat. She looked through what she had, dropping all her brightly coloured clothing to the floor. She finally decided that her forest green dress would have to do and pulled it over her head. She went on to wear her denim shorts with animal skin boots. Aven glanced at Letharia as he attached the hair to the doll, “I like how peaceful I feel right now, especially with you by my side.”
