Are Cats Attracted To Bleach Novels & Stories

I walked slowly toward the living room, the floor creaking under my feet, my breath catching in my throat as I glanced around. It was too clean. Like hotel-clean. Like someone had bleached the soul out of it. There was a faint chemical tang still hanging in the air—harsh, acidic, unmistakable. Bleach. My heart dropped. The couch cushions were fluffed. The coffee table gleamed unnaturally. Even the faded rug looked scrubbed. I turned in a slow circle. It was too clean. Too perfect.

It just arrived. A red lamp. Dim. Shaky. The air carried a scent that didn’t belong—chemical, clean in a way that felt too intentional. Not lemon oil. Not polish. Something sharper, almost surgical. Bleach, maybe. Or the kind of disinfectant used in places where truth has already been scrubbed away.

Caesar took a small step back: "Please do not touch me with dangerous items." Only then did Lola throw away her fork, pounce and hug Caesar, taking a crazy sniff of the scent on his neck? It was unclear whether it was the lingering effects of being permanently marked, but the scent of Caesar was fatally attractive to Lola, just like humans are addicted to smelling cats, Lola deeply inhaled in large gulps. Caesar resisted: "Don't smear the oil on your face onto me—back off, back off—okay, rubbing clothes and neck is fine, don't kiss the face—okay."

I smile and drink on my water. "You're planing something stupid, Caty," Chase warned. I ignored him and I finished down my water in one swing. "You really want me to get a cat?" "Former: I am. Latter: yes, I really need you to get me a cat. I want one with green eyes. A Balinese Cat maybe? I heard they're hypoallergenic. I'm not really sure," I agreed. "I have a talk at NYU today. I've decided to eat lunch out with you, and I need you to book me a manicure-pedicure at Downtown."

With a whoosh, the cat’s paw landed on Alex’s face, leaving behind three lines of bloodied wounds. “F*ck!” Alex threw away Old Whitey instantly. He reached out his hand to touch his face, only to feel a handful of blood. “Wasn’t it just checking your gender? Did you need to claw my face with a handful of blood? Great, now I have to get vaccinated for rabies. Do you have rabies in your body?” “Mrrr—” Old Whitey protested severely, with its hairs all on ends. “Okay, okay. You’re a female, and you don’t have rabies. I’ll not give you a check-up in the future, okay? By the way, pet cats have to bathe every day. Do you want me to give you a bath?”

Lucy whispered, her voice barely audible. "I... I was trying to move it," Zoe stammered, her words coming out in a rush. "I thought it was hanging too close to the heater, I was holding my wine, and I reached for the dress, but I tripped over my own heels. I grabbed the cleaning supplies on the shelf to steady myself, and the bleach cap wasn't on right... it just happened so fast, Lucy. I tried to wipe it off, but it made it worse." Lucy looked at the shelf Zoe was pointing to. The bleach had been tucked away in the back of the closet behind a stack of towels. It wasn't something someone would accidentally grab to steady themselves.

Classics is a bit of a useless degree, but it seems that I was at least passionate about it. My own human scent in this room is at its worst—wrong, somehow, and very corrupt—but a heavy fog of residual bleach almost obscures it. If it hadn’t been my very own scent, I might have assumed that all the anomalies are from the chemicals lingering in the air. I modulate my breaths to take in less of the abominable melange of odours and follow the bleach to its source in the bathroom.

Cat turned off the vacuum cleaner, unrolled the cord, and set it up against the wall. Armed with a rag and polishing spray, she moved the nicely lacquered armrests of a hundred armchairs. Your practiced fingers applied the care product and worked it in gently with the cloth. She didn't like the smell, but every time she was amazed how the stuff changed from cloudy to clear through leisurely wiping and practically vanished into thin air. Like a spell that wasn't.

In the bathroom Lillah stared at her clothes, rumpled on the floor. Pour bleach on them if you're so worried, Neeri piped up, helpful but unsympathetic to Lillah’s clean-up efforts. You can deal with them later then. After coating the discarded garments with copious bleach rather than picking them up and having to take another shower because of the scent transfer, Lillah set about grabbing a brush to sweep up the trail of rubble she’d left through her quarters. You know what we should have done… Neeri grinned mercilessly, asked Kurt to come clean up.

I start scrubbing at the carpet with ferocity. “Just like you,” he counters, and then he lets out a low, guttural groan that makes my stomach do a weird little flip despite the fact that I am currently elbow-deep in a cleaning disaster. I finished the job and stood up. I didn’t look back as I hauled the bag of trash toward the door because if I see one more inch of his bare butt, I am going to lose my mind. I’ll need a very strong bleach with a high concentration of acid to clean out the live p**n image from my head.
