I sighed, losing my last bit of pride left as I explained to my best friend how weak I truly am. Mabel was silent for awhile and I thought she gave up on me too, but I guess I was wrong, "Lily Shaw!" Her voice boomed in my head, causing me to cringe a little from the use of my full name. "I have information for you and you will do nothing but listen," She demanded, her voice getting hard. I didn't answer and I guess she took that as me accepting her conditions. "Alpha Denver, Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, 20-year-old, is your mate!" She sang and I rolled my eyes.

Amaris This is getting totally too weird! First Maxon and now Zach? What on earth is going on? From beside me, Zara glances toward Zach and then back at me, a look of shock on her face. “Zach!” she gasps. “What about Rayna! I thought—You know she has been waiting forever for you!” Zach tosses his sister a frown. “I don’t know why! I have never looked twice at her. So, whatever it is that you thought, you’re wrong.”

Chander's sudden interruption brought her back. "Miss Hila, let me help you take care of the other eleven." She didn't feel light headed or drunk anymore. "Why would you help me? You are in no position to gain anything from their deaths and if you are, just shut it and consider yourself lucky that your competition just got lower." She took off the robe and was left covered by a tiny sleeveless navy blue dress that barely covered even half her thighs. The pair of linen dolphin shorts of the same color loosely swayed as she moved towards him.

"ERIKKA, I don't think I can do this." Erikka Villanueva, Ara's best friend in the whole world, gave her a narrowing look as she squeezed her arm tightly. "We are not going on about this again, Ara. We've been planning this for a long time and I will not have you back-out on me now."

Kate took a step back towards me and then said to Glenn, “it’s okay, you’re safe here.” I was two seconds away from demanding to know what the hell was going on when a small shape emerged from the bushes. She was thin, even under the lantern I could see she was covered in tiny silver slivers of scars across her bare arms and upper body. Her tattered pale blue gown seemed held together by threads. Her hair was long, almost down to her back, white as snow. “Alpha Dex, Alpha Frank, Luna Madeline…this is my mate Ariel Huffington.” “Huffington?” Luna Madeline started, “As in, Luna Gwyneth’s dead mate’s sister? Why she told me she was dead!”

Madison was, and would always be, mine. “What’s goin’ on, baby?” “I want you to meet someone. Come here, angel. Come meet my honey.” She turned to the group and I saw a nervous girl stand and walk to us. “Hello, Ford. I’m Aria.” She murmured when she arrived. “Nice to meetcha, Aria. Who exactly are you?” I asked. “Aria is my female mate. I found her today and saved her from the man who owned her. The price is making everyone else nervous. I know you trust me. I hope you’ll understand. I had to save her. She’s almost twenty and unsealed.” Madison explained.

Ariella's POV "I'm here, uncle!" Damien finally squeezed his way out of the crowd, followed by a woman who was dressed up and made up. Her hair was messy, and her lipstick was gone. It was obvious that she and Damien had just done something in private. I laughed coldly and looked at Damien with a mocking expression. Kiley seemed to realize something and glared at the woman before turning back to Matthew and crying out, "Uncle, Ariella wants to kill me! She pushed me over!"

Back in Washington, the image of Lily struggling with some medical team with the caption CEO on drugs was already trending on social media. Mr Mingle opened his I*******m page and smiled. He got up from the bed and exited his bedroom. He went straight to the gym and found Derrick using the treadmill. "Have you checked the news today?" Mr Mingle asked. "No, why?" Derrick replied and stopped the machine.

"Adventure, my foot. You are far more important than that overpriced vacation. Call me next time." Hours slipped away as we talked-Ariel ranted about how she would take down each and every person who had wronged me-Cassidy, grant, or my parents. I would chuckle in her face at each one of her angry plans; each one was funnier than the one before it. “I’m going to show up at Cassidy’s office with a bucket of glitter and one of those megaphones,” Ariel announced, standing and striking a triumphant pose. “She won’t know what hit her.”

"Look who I've bumped into—Ariana Torrey, who's just been dumped by Brian Lodge!" Lila deliberately raised her voice, attracting everyone's attention in the otherwise silent library. Ariana did not want any drama. She bent over, ready to pick up her books, but Maddie stepped hard on her hands with her high heels. As if that weren't enough, Maddie smugly ground her heel down with a cruel twist of her ankle. A searing pain shot through Ariana's body. She struggled to get up—not that Maddie would let her.
