Salvatore Armaments. I ran to the helicopter that was already ready to take off, closing the large holsters that held the large weapons on my back. My body was bathed in weapons and grenades, then I saw several other soldiers retreat in cars and more motorcycles, all armed and with their faces covered by the sun still visible on the horizon, still revealing our faces and the reality about ourselves.

The atmosphere became charged with an air of secrecy, and the dull hum of assembling gadgets mixed with the occasional metallic click of weaponry being readied. Assault rifles, ranging from sleek AR-15s to rugged AK-47s, were carefully laid out alongside specialized equipment. The scarred man's group was a well-oiled machine, each member knowing their role and executing their tasks efficiently. The room had transformed from a luxurious hotel suite into a temporary command centre for a mission known only to them.

I asked in a perplexed tone. He exhaled a sigh. "Well, we'll see. That contraption came equipped with a pair of nice hunting knives, a machete, two shotguns, a compound bow with twelve arrows, and extra ammunition. We should be able to return to Fort Hamilton without mishap and any issues."

POV: CADE MERRICK The sound of metal hitting stone was the only thing I could hear inside the cold, concrete armory of the Sentinel Outpost. I sat at my workbench under the bright lights, focused on the weapon in front of me. I checked my customized heavy rifle, pulling the bolt back to make sure the chamber was clear before sliding a fresh magazine into place. Everything I carried was made for one thing: killing. My tactical vest was lined with iron plates covered in protective runes, my forearms were wrapped in dark leather marked with anti-magic wards, and my belt held several small vials that could slow down dangerous creatures.

The system was automated, requiring minimal maintenance, and could produce enough food to sustain a small community. The armory was locked behind a steel door that required both a code and Clara's fingerprint. Inside, rows of weapons gleamed under the dim lights—assault rifles, pistols, ammunition, grenades, and even a few specialized tools for close-quarters combat. Clara had never been a violent person, but she understood that the apocalypse would bring out the worst in people. She would not be caught unprepared.

I sat there for a moment, staring at my reflection in the dark monitor. I stood up and grabbed my jacket. If I was going to take down Tulcero with the reinforcements, I needed better equipment than a standard Glock and raw strength. The Armory was forty minutes outside Ridgeway Oaks. It catered to a very specific clientele—supernaturals who needed weapons that could kill other supernaturals. I parked the Harley in the alley and knocked three times on the reinforced steel door. A panel slid open, revealing a pair of suspicious eyes. “Password,” a gravelly voice demanded.

The armory! The place where the weapons were kept was intentionally located in the opposite direction from the power supply to avoid accidental explosions of any kind. But as Terrence Clayton has ordered, they needed to cut the power supply as soon as they get the chance to get close to avoid anyone getting into the system and hacking into the confidential files there were in the structure. But the next thing to shoot was the armory. It contained different weapons and explosives which would have been enough to burn the whole property down to ashes.

There was so many that it was hard to distinguish one from the others. “How are the preparations?” I asked him. “We spent two point three million in armament already. We got a tank though, and a second-hand black-hawk, so that’s not too bad for the price. Plus massive amount of amos, more guns, we got good deals on more AK47s and plenty of uzzis. The reward as gotten a lot of attention from mercs all over. We’re going to have to plan for their displacement here. We’ve gotten plenty of tips, and we have a team already checking everything up. Most is crap but we could get a golden nugget hidden somewhere in there.”
