There was a loud crash, which scared everyone there. My ashes scattered everywhere. Jasper still felt angry. He laughed disdainfully and stepped on my ashes, grinding them with the sole of his shoe. The staff members' jaws had dropped in shock. They hadn't even had time to stop him. Jasper kicked my ashes and sent them flying. "Tell Amara that she came up with a very innovative trick this time round, but it's lame. I'm not going to waver at all, no matter whether she's dead or alive!

A narrator’s voice followed: "This is not a story of survival. It’s a story of rebirth." The final frame: "Rising From the Ashes. Coming soon." It went viral within hours. Across the city, Adrian saw the video on his phone. His knuckles whitened as he clenched the device. She had just declared war in the most public, glamorous way possible. He picked up his phone. "Get me Natalie. Now." Back at the retreat, Natalie received the call. Amara glanced at the screen and arched an eyebrow. "Adrian Sinclair." Natalie took the phone and answered. "What do you want?"

If the rumours are true, I know Asher must have some. "You know the immortal lands are no place for her," Asher mutters in reply, turning his back as of to expel all of the conversation. It left an awkward air between us, even as Aspen continues to fight his brother, who has walked to a cupboard hitched up on the wall. He opens it, pulling out a small crystal glass and an unfamiliar type of alcohol in a blue bottle. "She can help us, you know that," Aspen exasperates. Asher doesn't say anything, as he pours a drink, and turns back around. His persona from serious, has molded into one of amusement, as his eyes gleam testily.

Jason demanded. "When I was in London tracking the Belishaw dragons, I came across something." She turned on her cell and pulled up a picture of a needle in an evidence bag. "I found this at the scene. It was in that Sinclair dragon's other house, a residence he kept a secret from the public."

I replied, directing my words and stare at Elijah, my mother’s first romance since breaking things off with father. Shalom said, biting her lips. "What are you? Gay?" I asked. "If it means having Maya all to myself then why not?"... Shalom said sarcastically. " Ewwwww," I said and slapped her arm. "Then get ready to kill Asher cause trust me, it won't be an easy win," Maya said with a glint of pride and damnnnnnnn….. "Oh, the love is so palpable. I'm crying" Shalom said, wiping fake tears from her eyes.
