Veins popped up on the side of her neck. "I told you I'll have my revenge didn't I?" Alex said with a smug smile. Ashley gritted her teeth. "You can hit her all you want Claire. Take out all your anger on her" Alex pulled a chair to sit while Claire grabbed a stick that was lying on the floor. With a devilish grin on her face, she started hitting Ashley with the stick. Ashley's eyes stung with tears. Her tears were more of anger than pain. She shut her eyes tightly as the stick hit her back. Alex smiled, deriving pleasure from Ashley's reaction.

One particulary unimpressed frost lynx lounges across a tree branch, glaring down at everyone beneath it like they are personally offending its existence. Further in the distance, Ironclad dragons train with their bondeds, bronze scales glimmering beneath the rising sun. Terrifying, but majestic. For a few silent moments, I simply watch. Because despite all else, I still love them. I always have, even though Aetherion Academy was not supposed to be my future.

Ash’s POV The roar of the clubhouse hit me before I even turned off my engine. Laughter, shouts and the sound of bottles clinking rent the air and for a moment, I wonder how they could easily fall back into their normal lives less than twelve hours after an attack. It was chaos the way I remembered it, but somehow louder and more… non challant. Inside, the air was thick with smoke and sweat. A few brothers cheered when they saw me, others nodded, their eyes sharp, reading me like they weren’t sure what version of Ash had come back.

She kissed my chest. "I love you and I know that you love me too. That's the only reason why we both haven't killed each other. But we have destroyed each other beyond repair... We are not the people we met and fell in love... I am not angry at you but I also can't forget whatever you have done to me... We are damaged and we can't fix it.
