Her hair was a striking, doll-like platinum blonde, and her eyes were a piercing, vibrant shade of amber, a brilliant, sun-drenched color I had never seen before. She looked entirely foreign, possessing an ethereal, Western grace that felt out of place in the brutal landscape of Goma Island.
