Enchanted Twilight

Enchanted Twilight

"Let me take a guess. Was your wife once a sacrifice for her villagers as a ritual for the prosperity of the village?" "Yes, exactly ...," Hugo's eyes widened, surprised to hear his guess hit the nail on the head. "You are right." "Then I'll continue to the next question. Who was the god or goddess that the village worshiped at that time?" "Goddess of prosperity, Áine." His eyes narrowed at once when he heard the name of the Celtic goddess he hated the most. One of the gods and goddesses who were selfish, proud, and enjoyed the humans who worshiped them. As if they were the ones who created all living things on this earth.

Fire and Water

Fire and Water

James flicked his eyes back and forth between Eliza and Blakeney as the man paused dramatically. “Thetis,” said Blakeney, grandly. “She is a goddess of the sea. A lieutenant of sorts to Poseidon, but more commonly associated with calm and tranquil waters.” “That’s right,” he said, remembrance flooding to him. “Achilles was her most famous son.” Blakeney nodded proudly at his pupil. “Correct.”

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

His handwriting is barely legible. “Eos,” he says, breath shaking. “Or Aurora, in Roman lore. The Goddess of the Dawn. Daughter of Hyperion and Theia. Sister of Selene, the Moon Goddess, and Helios, the Sun God. She was the bridge between their powers.” Paige goes still. Ronnie continues, his voice hushed and full of awe. “She wasn’t just the bringer of sunrise. She awakened things. She breathed light into what had been lost. She was known for creating an army, not of soldiers she forced, but of souls that recognised her. Souls loyal because she was the dawn that freed them from darkness.”

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

Flameheart; Rise Of An Alpha Magnate

Flameheart; Rise Of An Alpha Magnate

Arthur struggled to explain but tried to be as honest as he could. "Very well, then. Follow us to the grove over there." Aphrodite smiled and hooked her arm on the Moon Goddess' hand. The two were a sight to behold. The Moon Goddess was adorned in a sheer white gown adorned with small diamonds. Her jet black hair a contrast to her white gown and fair skin.

Athena

Athena

Iris shook her head vigorously, and both laughed for a second, but again silence swarmed in the room like clouds. "You know, Theia," Iris gently kissed her daughter's temple, "they say it's not wise to name your daughter after the names of the gods. But I did it anyway, you know why?" Athena shook her head, indicating her curiosity. “Because Athena symbolizes love, intellect, and battle strategy,” she sighed deeply. “I always thought you were my little fighter. Maybe I shouldn’t have named you after her, and you wouldn’t have had these many struggles in your life.”

Unnatural: The Wildfire

Unnatural: The Wildfire

I held my knees tighter, trying to put as much distance as I could between myself and them. "Very clever." Mama said in a voice that wasn't hers. "Indeed. She is full of potential. Like you always bragged." Kara answered. In a voice that didn't sound like hers. "I'm Luna." Mama said. "Hestia." Kara replied. " We could not show you our real forms. It would upset a lot of things. Especially as you are not meant to be here." Luna, Goddess of the moon and Hestia, Goddess of Fire. How was that even possible?

Goddess Of The Diamond

Goddess Of The Diamond

I asked, intrigued. Closing her book, Allorah moves closer to the table. “How do I explain? You see, we beings had a body, but one that was given to us by the goddess. This is a copy of that body. And what I mean by aura is that we had this aura that glow like a hue around us, one that showed our powers,” Allorah said thinking, “The goddess explained once that this was what identified us. It would tell what role we partake on the realm.”

War on my Heart

War on my Heart

"You've always been very interested in what Hecate is up to, haven't you? I'm sure not knowing these past three years would have killed you, had you not been immortal." Aphrodite. Goddess of Love. I recall, and although I can't explain it, my nose wrinkles distastefully at the sight of her, and my heart tugs with something akin to dislike. Aphrodite tilts her head back and laughs sweetly, though I have a feeling she's anything but. "Oh, on the contrary, Hera. I must say, it's been lovely having Ares warm my bed these past few years. You don't mind, do you, Hecate?" She adds innocently, her eyes wide. "I know things ended on a...sour note with you two, but I hope there's no hard feelings."

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Laughter shook my chest as I howled, “Lina, don’t go! We were having a moment here! We were bonding!” “Were not!” “Were too, I could feel it! I’m all warm and tingly inside.” “You should probably get that checked out!” The door slammed shut, muffling the rest of her snappy reply. An hour later I found myself sitting at a circular, wooden table surrounded by my sister, mates, and a handful of other deities. There was Dhara, the Goddess of the Earth, seated beside Sephtis, God of Death. To his right sat Amora, the Goddess of Love, and Nyssa, the Goddess of Life.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

Tui, the moon goddess

Tui, the moon goddess

Tears burned in her eyes, and she struggled to hold them in. She was now wary of letting Shania hug her, but her father’s words had taken the fight out of her. Shania touched my dress delicately, envy blazing in her eyes. But before she could say anything, Mina ushered her out, leaving the rest of the family to follow. She glanced at Atticus briefly and he gave her a genuine smile. She smiled back and walked out onto the porch. Mina stopped her before she could take another step. “Wait! You can’t step onto the bare ground. The moon goddess’s place is in the heavens. It is a bad omen if you touch the ground.” She declared.
