TRUST ME

TRUST ME

Creighton smiled. “Yes, I do. You have to understand, I didn’t grow up with money, but I did grow up with love. We had enough of what we needed, so we weren’t impoverished by any means, but we also didn’t have a lavish lifestyle. I think that’s why Andrew is so secretive and very few people know he grew up on a farm. Not exotic enough for the type of friends he chooses to associate with.” “And now that you have money, you spoil your family?”

“You don’t have to take responsibility, I will soon open my fashion walk-in stores, and have kings and queens being clothed by me. I will have more than enough money to take care of my child; you don’t need to be worried about anything.” “No,” Andrew said quickly. “I’m not here for that. I messed up, I know. I was scared; my parents were terrible. Parties, alcohol... I was neglected, abused by the nanny I was entrusted to as a child, and forgotten; I didn’t want to be them, I was scared I might end up being a terrible father.” His voice cracked. She walked over, pulled him close, and rested his head against her chest. “I’m sorry you went through that,” she whispered. “You never told me.”

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

"True champions have earned the right to be proud! As for opponents, to say something you won't like hearing, Dr. Bozzelli—I don't consider this Andrew worth my attention at all!" Bernard smiled sinisterly from the side. Thomas and Jared were nothing like him—when Andrew played with these two, it would be like a chick facing eagles. … Andrew arrived at the entrance to The Sovereign Residences by cab. Despite being a billionaire worth tens of billions, he did not have a single car to his name. It was something he would not dare mention to others out of embarrassment. "Hmm, it seems that little servant girl needs another lesson," he muttered. He let out a cold laugh as he thought about Aspen.

Good introduction. It sounds as if Christina was forced to be cold & dump Andrew. Since after he left, we see that she was aware of her actions & didn’t simply, not care. The rest were quite the typical cliché in Chinese type of stories. I’ll be great if the 2 made amends, unlike the typical cliche

Too Late , I am Carrying His Child

Then, trying to lighten the mood, she asked, “Adrian, please… tell me about yourself. I don’t know anything about you, yet you keep helping me. Who are you really?” He chuckled softly, leaning back in the chair. “Alright, you want to know me? Then I will tell you.” Savannah nodded, her eyes fixed on him. “I was born into a wealthy family,” Adrian began slowly. “But I never liked to depend on my parents’ name. I built my own company from scratch. Technology, real estate, investments — I wanted to create something of my own. People call me lucky, but they don’t know how many nights I worked without sleep.”

Her eyes brimmed with tears. Andrew could see his words were sharper than he intended. “People are just that petty. Money doesn’t change it.” Leaving his brandy on the bar, he closed the space between them, stopping directly before her. “Why do you think Russell worked? That I work? My father made his fortune with the railroads and my mother can trace her ancestry back to Russian tzars.” He rolled his eyes contemptuously at his own circumstance, watching as she processed his words.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

PREGNANT BY MY HUSBAND’S RIVAL: THE BILLIONAIRE'S REVENGE

"Well, that isn't a nobody, Cynthia." Cynthia let out a loud, mocking laugh, waving her hand in the air to dismiss the worker’s words. "Oh, please! Don't believe everything you read in the cheap newspapers! Let me tell you the real truth about the Carnegie situation. Yes, her father was a Carnegie, but do you know who her mother was?" Vanessa leaned in closer, her eyes shining. "Who?"

Purest Hearts

Purest Hearts

she mused. Marianne finished what she was reading with awe and questions on her mind. It’s a journal written by Andrew Williams. In the first half of the book, Andrew Williams talks about the achievements of his grandfather, how his grandfather had started the textile industries in the 1740's where he had employed a lot of workers. The second half of the book is about how Andrew’s father, who is at a young age, had taken over his father’s business, after the sudden death of his father. Andrew’s father had been more successful and had even invested in some young inventors who were recognised in the latter years.
