“No,” Andrew said quickly. “I’m not here for that. I messed up, I know. I was scared; my parents were terrible. Parties, alcohol... I was neglected, abused by the nanny I was entrusted to as a child, and forgotten; I didn’t want to be them, I was scared I might end up being a terrible father.”
His voice cracked. She walked over, pulled him close, and rested his head against her chest.
