"It's an Avianian, a race of huge barbaric bird-like females, I didn't think they were on this side of the planet, but I suppose they flew over to check us out," Ashr growled bitterly and I glared at him.

Debra asked, looking at Abigail since she was working in the pack company. Abigail scoffed at her. "Have you lost your mind? She is from the Thunder Howl Pack. Do you think it's even possible for us to think about approaching any of them? It's prohibited for us by the CEO." Ava was listening to them quietly. The smile on her face never faded. The person they were talking about was actually her. She was Florence. People around the world knew about her with that name. They did not know her but her work. Ava thought she should not hide these things from her friends.

I had always hated the name of our pack, thinking it was too bland. Atlas Andino emerged from his car, his usual friends in tow. I knew them all by name, noting how their styles of bullying differed. Atlas Andino, with his pale blonde hair and startling grey eyes. Shaina Adam's with her espresso skin and gorgeous sneer. Michelle Cario, with her long legs and thick accent. Duke Kentworth, with his football jersey and messy black hair. Dean Marsh, with his curly chocolate hair and sly smile.

"Oh, right, yeah, they’re definitely different. Your ex-mate has a starry sky as his link avatar, and this one has a little white rabbit," Ivan replied, attempting to lighten the mood with a chuckle. "Guess my senses are getting dull in my old age." He genuinely believed my ex might be in the pack-link, and I felt a wave of unease wash over me. It sounded like a giant heart beating in the ground. Five shadows came out of the green leaves. Ava froze. She felt like a little rabbit watching a pack of lions. The men were the biggest humans Ava had ever seen. They were not like men from the city. They did not wear suits. They wore only soft animal skins around their waists. Their skin was the color of dark honey and gold. Their muscles were huge. They looked like they were made of the mountain and the trees. The one in the middle was the tallest. This was Kaelo. He was the Chief. His chest was as wide as a door. He had long black hair and eyes that looked like the deep sea. When he looked at Ava, he didn't look angry. He looked amazed.

A couple walked towards us and introduced themselves. "Hi, I am Jason Blue, the Alpha of the pack, and the gorgeous lady here is my wife, Ashi Sarin Blue," he said. They both look beautiful together; she does not look like an American, no offense. They both dressed pretty. I got confused for a second; she looks more like a human, like the way I am and even her name. "Stop with your flirting, at least not in front of new people." Ashi slapped Jason. Hi, I am Ava Selene Stone, and my mate Noah," I introduced ourselves.
