He looked back at the tree from which the voice had come and saw a beautiful woman wearing silver gloves, form fitted leather, a black cape with the hood drawn about her head and her long raven tresses flowing from beneath it.
"I know who you are," he said quietly, but could not tear his eyes from her, "What is it that you require of me?"
"Knowledge," she replied smoothly, "Tell me of Lord Kurn, of the villagers, and of the promise for my price."
"Lord Kurn is my father," he said, anger apparent in his voice when he spoke the name, "He does not deserve to rule these people, he is heartless. And you can be assured that I will meet whatever price you set."
