Zephyr screamed from the prow. Saoirse looked up. diving from the cloud layer above them were three shapes. They looked like birds, but they were too big, too angular. Their wings didn't flap; they locked into place. "Iron-Wings!" Vane cursed, spinning the wheel. "Imperial Interceptors! They’re mechanized wyverns!" The creatures shrieked—a sound of tearing metal. They were biological horrors, wyverns that had been flayed and fitted with jet turbines on their wings and cannons in their mouths.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

“You see that launch? Precision strike. That was tactical.” “She’s a war general,” Amaya chimed in, eyes gleaming. “Tactical and fabulous. Look at her, she’s not even winded.” “She has the heart of a lion,” Xenia added solemnly, crouching down to scratch Spitfire under the chin like she hadn’t just gone full feline assassin in defense of our dignity.

Everything happened at once. Viktor shifted mid-roar, his bear-wolf form massive and primordial. The Draven twins moved like synchronized nightmares. Inspired by what she calls a thief look but with a regal touch, flare jean pants that reached to a set of black wedge sneaker that had red wings on the side like running shoes. A black leather jacket with long claw marks that were imprinted on the back of the jacket just as a Griffin would. It had silver buttons of feathers connecting together,with a hoodie in the back as well. Under was a red plain halter shirt, surrounding the look had more feathers and on the pouch of the hand purse that was on the side was the symbol of feathered wings pilled with a crown and gold.

It was relieving for her to know that her daughter could at least protect herself from certain jeopardies. After putting the pieces together, she got a clear picture of everything. As an avian, she knew what their wings meant to them and without them, they felt like weaklings, like mortals. Their wings were their strength, and the typical ones couldn't cover long distances with their legs. It was already bad that they had been cut off. Now they were threatening to burn it if he didn't return with the hybrid. Even after Richard had lived eight months with them, she still didn't trust him. He had chosen his clan over his daughter once before, and now she was scared that he could choose his win

She barked happily to see her mommy who smiled at her. Andrew opened up his beautiful Midnight wings with a large smile. He missed them so much. Took him a second more to get in the air as he had to get used to them once more but it didn't take too long before he was able to keep up with the fast pace Anya had set.

A shriek came out of her mouth which made Anna look behind to find Aura falling down. "Aura!" Anna panicked and screamed taking her name and jumped off without thinking of the consequence. Suddenly she felt a burning sensation on her back and soon two jet-black wings came out of her back. Each feather has the top part jet black with the hairs or fibers sticking out of the sides, while the end of the edge itself is blood red. Flipping the wings in the air she flies down and catches Aura before she falls into the river of fire.

Megan looked just then and saw that after a while of the drone assault, Adolf's wings had begun to glow very bright as the rainbow waves weren't just at the edges now but running erratic throughout the surfaces; and then, he released them.
