Average Fantasy Novel Word Count Novels & Stories

Hehe, I'm sure some of you thinks she's just a cranky old lady, but she is one of my favorite additions to the cast and kind of my own way to vent against certain aspects of my own characters, lmao. In other words, she allows me to whine on Jace and I love it. • Why the short chapters? When I first started writing back in 2018, I use to make MEGA long chapters and I mean, INSANELY long! My first book, Laws of the Pack, had an average of around 5000 words per chapter which lead me to have very frequent writer blocks since I had to constantly think of extra text or out of no where context to fill up the gaps. The good thing, though, is that each chapter will be around 2000 words or more because I aim to finish this world in 27 chapters or less. Also~. This world will probably be more interesting than the subsequent worlds, and I promise an enjoyable plot and lots of smut. Yes, there will be smut in this world, and it will definitely be spicy hehe. As for whether it’s a BE or HE, that’s a secret (｡•̀ᴗ-). Rating it poorly because of what you don’t even know is cruel and malicious. I am sad and angry. I am a reader as much as I am a writer and I have read books with short chapters and understood what short chapters meant. Most times my chapter ends at 2.5k or 3k words, but because I know the coin consumption would be higher, I split the chapter into 2. I don’t like it but I have to understand and be considerate. I am taking this as an outlet to let you know sometimes we do what we do to make it easier for every reader. Getting rated poorly because of it is cruel. I barely get many reviews on the front page of the book so a review this poor would set me back so far.

I carry out my updates like this to avoid unduly stretching the book, as I plan to finish this book with just sixty to sixty-five chapters. If I update everyday, I would have to be updating an average of fourteen thousand words in a week, which is kind of a lot for me to handle as I am also busy with work and other things. Thank you so much for those who actually took their time to share their complaints with me. I really appreciate it. I understand that the time difference amongst all of us may differ, and may affect when most of us expect the update, but please do bear with me. Thank you so much again for reading my book. Hello guys. So I've seen some complaints about me updating only once a day and I just want to clarify something. I write very long chapters. Some of my chapters can go up to 2800 words. And while other authors would rather divide that word count into two, I chose to publish it at once because of the cost of chapters on the app nowadays.

Don't worry about that, it's just that a major national examination is commencing which can get me in college 😳 and it might delay in me posting but as I said before, you don't have to worry about it. Do you think the coins for each chapter of our book is too much? Let me explain something to you, I provide more words in a chapter and that means longer reading. Goodnovel expects me to make it 1.5k or something but as a reader myself, shorter chapters annoy me. Because I want more info in a go. I hope you understand what I mean?

My chapters had always been from 1500 words to 2500 words, and sometimes I write longer when i feel like it's needed to be written longer in a chapter otherwise my minimum words had always been 1500 words and then go on. Whenever I write short chapter like shorter than 1500 words I always mention in my author note and apologise for it, but last chapter was 1600 words and this one is 2100 words.
