The Alpha's Rose

The Alpha's Rose

She asks with excitement. “Did you stay up and read all night long Maddie?” Tyson asks with a half laugh. “It’s the only way you could have read so much since yesterday.” She giggles, “No. Mama and I are speed readers but I’m a little faster than she is. I can finish a book pretty fast. Usually within an hour or so.” “Speed reading, huh? I now understand why you’ve read so much more than I have.” Tyson says to me with a wink. Yeah, he’s not wrong about that one.

Readers… please note the tag of “hate to love” is incorrect. I’m not sure why it has appeared on the page, but it was not one I picked as a descriptor. This story is not a hate to love relationship between the main characters and I’m sorry if it has caused any confusion.

One of the best authors on this site!! Love her!! The story is well written, progresses well, engaging and I can really feel for the characters. Love the strong female characters that have strength of will, personality, without the whole damsel in distress trope, excellent strong male leads.

How to transmigrate in a proper way: A guide

How to transmigrate in a proper way: A guide

The child continued to cry even harder. Lei busied himself checking his belongings on his bag. After a while, he took the book he purchased online, the day before yesterday, intending to read the synopsis on the back. His flight back to his company this time takes approximately 15 hours of travel. For this reason, he especially made sure to take a book with him to pass the time.

Julian ------ She gave him the manuscript on a Sunday morning. All of it. Three hundred and twenty-one pages, printed, stacked on the kitchen counter with a single sticky note on top that read: *One week. No edits. Just read.* He read it in four days. Not because he rushed. Because he couldn't stop. He read it the way she had told him to — as a reader, not a participant. He tried. The first fifty pages he succeeded, losing himself in her account of the trials the way a reader would, following the thread of a story whose outcome he didn't know.

His muscles pull tightly against the button up shirt he's wearing and I catch myself staring at him. I look away back to the book Infront of me sliding my glasses back into place. I run my eyes over the page I have flipped open and begin turning them. I've studied this way my entire life. I don't actually have to read the material to know it I just have to look at it. It's filed away in my brain for a rainy day. "There's no way you're actually reading that fast." He says looking over at the book as I continue to flip page after page only pausing long enough to rack my eyes over the content.

In addition, she had filled the basket with plenty of tasty drinks that tasted like fruit juice. It was everything one could possibly want if they were going to lie on a blanket in the beautiful summer sun and read a book about elven history. I lay down on my stomach, placing the book in front of me. It was large and heavy. Just for fun, I flipped to the back—there were no fewer than four hundred and forty-nine pages in the book. And that was only volume one! I wondered how many volumes there were in total. I opened the big book and could smell the traces of time in it. All I hoped for was that it wouldn’t be too dry to read.

Forbidden: My Stepbrother, My Mate

Forbidden: My Stepbrother, My Mate

Still as miserable as I was, I could feel it through our connection. The bond pulsed. Ached. Pulled. I shoved my books aside and grabbed my laptop instead. Maybe I could at least catch up on some reading for English class. We were supposed to finish three chapters by Friday. I opened the digital textbook and stared at the first page. Read the same sentence five times without absorbing a single word. Finally gave up and closed the laptop. Three hundred and twelve more hours. The number felt impossible. Insurmountable. Like trying to count grains of sand on a beach.

Offered to the Triplet Alphas

“Now, begin.” I licked my lips and turned over the pages, running my eyes over the content as fast and precisely as I could. He impatiently tapped his feet while I read. The timer on his phone went off. He snatched the book from my hand and turned it over to a random page. “Read out the entire page sixty-nine,” he said, leafing through the pages. Keeping my eyes fixed on his eyes, I began.

Updates are really slow. I couldn’t remember story line completely and had to go back and read several chapters to get back up to speed. Please update regularly. It’s a really good story and losing the audience due to delayed updates is a shame.

Like other comments, loved the storyline and characters BUT updates are extremely slow. So slow that I had to go back and reread the last couple of chapters before reading new material. Won’t continue story if next update takes so long.

Heartbreaker Next Door

Heartbreaker Next Door

He wasn’t kidding when he said that he was a slow reader. Thirty minutes later and is eyes still moved slowly over the first page of the chapter and he still had an entire page to go. I could have taken a nap and woken up by the time he finally finished the first page. “How much longer?” I asked, trying not to groan. “Almost done. Hey I warned you,” he said, biting his bottom lip as he read another line. “Yeah but you should have warned me that you read OLPH.”

The wife I forgot to love

The wife I forgot to love

He said what are you reading. She told him. He said I tried to read that. He said I got sixty pages in and put it down and then felt guilty about putting it down for three weeks. She said that is the book. She said some books are for feeling guilty about for three weeks. He said that seems like a design flaw. She said no. She said the guilt means it got under your skin. She said you will pick it up again. He said you think so. She said yes. She said the ones you feel guilty about are always the ones you go back to. He said like people.

Supreme Emperor of Swords

Supreme Emperor of Swords

After putting the book down, Ding Hao picked up another book. In the following time, Ding Hao kept picking up these scrolls, bamboo slips, and ancient books in front of these bookshelves and then put them down one by one. With Ding Hao's reading speed, even if it was an inch-thick book, he could finish reading it in a few minutes. If someone were here, they would definitely be very surprised, because Ding Hao's speed of reading was simply too fast. It was as if he could finish a page in a second. Therefore, even though there were thousands of books here, with Ding Hao's speed, he finished reading all of them when the sun was slightly west.
