He tapped her face gently to wake her up. “Hey. Hey!” He fretted as Nemiah was still unresponsive. He gritted his teeth and decided to pump her chest. “Come on!” He snarled. He continued to pump her chest til Nemiah coughed and gained consciousness. He sighed in relief and sat panting while he watched Nemiah struggling to get up. “You’re alive,” Amaris muttered when their eyes met. Nemiah’s breathing was still shallow but she tried to speak. “Why… Did you save me?” She confusedly asked the beast.
