Maybe, just maybe, things weren’t as bad as they seemed. She glanced at Larry, who was now sitting on the other side of the room, watching her. "You know," Lauren said, breaking the silence, "for a hockey player, you’re not so bad at taking care of your niece." He raised an eyebrow. Wilder stuck her head in the door. "Are you ok?" Ash just nodded. Five minutes later Rider and several of his brothers came rushing in. "Pack up you're going to the clubhouse." Rider demanded. Ash didn't argue, she just packed her files and computer in her briefcase. Her hands were a little shaky, but she managed to hide it well. Kim had the kids packed and ready when they went to the house. She had just finished college and was heading off to medical school. Which meant they were looking for a new babysitter. It's very tidy, not anything out of place, and there are picture frames hanging on the white walls. "The babysitters here," she says to someone sitting at the other side of the room. While Claire is splashing around in the tub, I get a text. Gigi: Hey girl, the Beta said you'll need a babysitter later? Everything okay? It sounded pretty serious...
