Thirty minutes later, he appeared again. "I am scared of the dark." Emma turned on his nightlight. "There. Not dark anymore." "What if there are monsters?" "There are no monsters. Go to sleep." Forty-five minutes later, he came out one more time. "I forgot to say goodnight properly." By the time Alex actually stayed in bed, it was almost eleven. We were exhausted. Emma and I collapsed on the couch. "We did not even finish the movie," she said. "We barely started the movie."

“That’s more like it. Tonight, she falls.” She ended the call without another word, tossing the phone onto the couch. For a long moment she stood still, chest heaving with the aftershocks of her rage. Then, almost delicately, she lifted her glass of wine again, swirling the crimson liquid as if it were blood. Her whisper was a vow, cold and sharp as glass. “Amira Santis, your fairytale ends tonight.” The VITALIO estate was quieter at night. The world outside never truly slept, not in a city as restless as this one, but within these walls silence reigned.

BAELA It was now past sunset and the camp was alive. The Beta's were having fun together and Alpha Abbadon was in their midst. They were celebrating their journey so far. There was just one more territory to go past before we arrived at the ends of the world. I for my part was worried. Not worried about what would happen at the ends of the world or what was in-store for us in the future. I was more worried about the present, about tonight. Alpha Abbadon and I had spent the night yesterday as we usually do and we have made love, was it also going to be like that tonight?

You have to remain in your room, promise?” He silently begged, eyes pleading with mine. I nodded and closed my eyes again, too tired to keep them open any longer. I felt warm lips press to my forehead, making my body explode from pleasure, before slowly leaving the room. Finally, I let sleep take over me. -

He kept working his fingers on me until I climaxed. By the time we ended I was a big mess, covered in my own juices and sweat. "Baby, I hope you enjoyed it." He whispered it in my ear. "More than you could imagine." I replied him back. Finally I drifted off to sleep. It went exactly opposite of what I thought. I might have had the best night of my life. Maybe he is not as bad as I thought.

(Some people might argue that 0:00 January 1, 2021 is in fact the turn of the decade but those people are ice holes. Ten more minutes and Mr. and Mrs. Lapuz say good night and go to their room. Kate, Nate and Ecto stay up longer chatting while sipping beer. Ecto is also drinking some virtual beer that he found in the Shopping Cart function of the My Dream Boyfriend app. He has changed his background through the Door function (he can do that by himself now) and is lying on his beach hammock.

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV In a brilliant explosion of light, the darkness shattered, and the Black Faes were thrown back into the shadows from whence they came. Baddy's shrieks of fury echoed in the air as he was forced to retreat, his power diminished and his malevolent presence momentarily vanquished. The battlefield, once chaotic and filled with the sounds of clashing steel and desperate cries, fell silent. The oppressive weight of the darkness lifted, replaced by the faint glow of the moonlight breaking through the clouds.
