“Gator, this is Nya,” Slate, the dragon king, said as Nya followed him over to where the others were training. The fellow in question, a ginormous man, only an inch or so shorter than Slate himself, with massive, bulging muscles, was dressed all in black, a similar outfit to the one Slate always wore, except there were no red accents. Gator eyed Nya for a moment, his eyes traveling from her head to her toes and then back again. He nodded, his dark, shoulder-length hair swaying slightly with the movement of his head. “Nya?” he questioned.

Behind the invitation was a paper with just one sentence. "Target: Hitotsu Shiho, Gender: Male, get details on order 66. Passcode: Full moon and starry night in the same sentence. Good luck." (This is good, Kadachi has to go to this event too so maybe I can tag along with him and use this as a cover.)

I could tell from his aura that he had a strong Ki, but I still couldn’t figure out if he was an elemental wolf or a sword bearer like me and Kyle. Ryu appeared before me in a flash, flames surrounding him as his claws emerged. I could feel the heat of each claw, hot enough to cleave diamond without a single trace of splitting. “Do you think I’d cower up?” Kyle growled.

Chapter One: A New Beginning Aqua’s heart raced as she walked through the imposing iron gates of Crestwood High. His smile widens and accepts it. “You’re too young in this kind of job. You’ll still have many things to learn. Nice to meet you too, Miko. You can call me JD-hyung.” He said as we shake hands. Then he looked at Aikon-hyung. He noticed it and said, “Grey of Dark Knight, 18. A black belter and master of martial arts. In charge of training new agents and expert in face to face fights. Aikon Advincula outside but just call me Aikon. I’m Stargazer’s bar tender and Polaris’s barista. Hope we can be friends.”

No one was there. “Here she is….” A masculine voice said from behind me. I spun around and met his terrified blue eyes. He was the same tattooed and ginger-haired man. Devito! He smirked and strolled towards me, leering. “You look more beautiful than before.” He held his hand out. “You were in such a hurry that day that we didn’t get time to introduce ourselves. I’m Leo Devito.” I looked away and stepped back from him. “Where is Cassius?”

It smacked into her palm, but she didn’t even flinch. “As I’ll ever be,” she replied, straightening her shoulders. “Good.” I took a step back and tapped the staff in my hand against the ground. “Today’s drill is called 'Guard and Break.' You’re going to defend against five strikes. Not dodge… block. I want you to hold your ground.” She nodded, tightening her stance. She wasn't even hesitating or over thinking. “Begin,” I said, and lunged towards her. I first targeted her lower region.

He carried a staff adorned with glowing runes, his violet eyes sharp and calculating. “Arinthal Starweaver,” Ramon continued, his tone laced with tension. “The Great Wizard.” The last figure emerged silently, his presence more menacing than the others. His jet-black armor absorbed the moonlight, and his golden eyes gleamed with predatory intent. “Kaiden Nightwalker,” Ramon growled. “The Rogue Alpha.” Jasmine’s knees nearly buckled under the weight of their combined auras, but she refused to back down. Something inside her, the ancient presence that had been stirring, rose to the surface, pushing away her fear.
