My eyelids lift just a bit and a stark white light enters into my retina, making me wince and I shut them close again. I open them again and blink several times, letting them adjust to the light. Once they do, I expect to see the pink walls of my room stare back at me. I expect to see all my colorful posters make an appearance on the wall in front of me, but that doesn't happen.
