Like the people at the talent agency and the crew who work with me during projects, we have to get used to each other’s natural presence. Jester’s office was opposite the Commander’s. His name and rank on a silver plaque on the door made me feel strangely self-conscious. I already know from my research that Jester is a bit of a workaholic, and he spends almost seventy percent of his waking hours in here if he’s not out on subjugation missions (apparently these are the only missions he ever takes). This meant that this was probably a more personal space to him than his bedroom back at their apartment.

Jasral yelled at Nathan as he tried to get out of the tie. "Wait a minute! I'm not one of them, I'm innocent!" I shouted here because I might get loose. Jusko why is this happening! "Sh*t up brats you are making so much noise." The masked man looked at us. He immediately turned his back on us and walked into the dark, is he batman?! Why are we tied!! Ahhh!!! "If you're Batman, why are we tied." I said here when it entered the darkness, Jasral and Nathan stared at each other not knowing what I was going to say.

He finally looked up and grinned at me before caressing my black painted face. "You look amazingly ridiculous," he said matter-of-factly. "But I like it. This—" he motioned to my entire body "—suits you." Although my face was completely opaque, Jace could probably see that my face was redder than a tomato. He just chuckled and pressed his lips lightly against mine. When he pulled away, he stared at me softly with those captivating blue eyes. "I think that you're the best Batman there has ever been," he whispered. "But I have one question."

This must be Jester Hale. Ryker’s younger brother. An internationally known hockey player. Famous for his temper. And arrogance. Pearl shot up from her seat. “Break his heart? More like he nearly killed her with his cold indifference!” she snapped. “Stay out of this!” Jester barked. Ember, however, remained seated. Calm. Composed. “You’re mistaken,” she said evenly. “Your brother is under medical supervision.” “Medical supervision?” Jester laughed mockingly. “By you?”
