Jake pitched in. "It's a tie so whose side are you on Alexis?" Asher asked hopefully. "You're the tie breaker." I looked around me at the four guys and couldn't help but wonder how I had become such good friends with all of them and how I was able to tolerate their stupidity. "Staying true to myself," I began, "I've got to go with the villains, because honestly who are superheroes without villains to fight? That's right, just a bunch of weirdos in tight-arse clothes and underwear outside their pants," I stated matter-of-factly. He looked back at me with a challenging look. "DC?" I asked him feigning ignorance and taking my time to think. He bought my act and had a victorious smile on. "Well, I won't hold it against you but I do believe that Marvel comics are way better than DC's" I winked for closure then grabbed my second treat. "Wow! I think I should pretend I didn't hear what you just said. Marvel? really?". He kept shaking his head as if he was trying to get my answer out of his mind. "I mean Batman, Superman..... these are THE superheroes !!"

He laughed. "That explains why Melanie made this book," he said. He opened to a page and said, "Look." I looked at the page, staring at a picture of Robin on top of Batman. Well, technically it was Bruce Wayne. I smiled and chuckled. Jace kissed my head. "You're my Batman, you know," he whispered. "You always come and save my day." I looked up at him and whispered back, "So that means you're Robin? And you're on top of me?"

I can feel myself still being red as a tomato, but I tried to act normal. "Come on, I found the car," Aiden said, climbing up a rock as it was a piece of cake in front of us at the end of the alley, which we needed to cross in order to get into our car.
