I whispered to myself. But my hands had already moved. Inside the package was a single sheet of paper, folded once. No note. No explanation. Just a drawing. My breath left me in a sharp, broken exhale. It was done in crayon. Bold lines. Messy edges. A child’s certainty in every stroke. A woman stood at the center of the page, her arms raised. Blue and yellow zigzags burst from her hands, stretching outward like lightning. Behind her stood two children. One taller. One smaller. Both drawn close to her back, like they were hiding and standing tall at the same time.

With a flip of my finger, the phone unlocked revealing a set of dark and every photo, mostly drawn. The one that struck out most was the eery sketch of a woman crying over a baby with red lines piled on the floor. “That's…” the man began and I held my breath. Raising it to my nose, I got a faint sniff of Beauty's scent and an uncertain omega. The omega's scent was confusingly familiar while distant to my knowledge as well. I scrolled after and stopped at the one that made my heart race. It was a picture of Beauty asleep, her lips less pinky than usual, lying on a woman's lap, wearing the same clothes as the woman in Cole's tablet.

he said as he sat beside me. I carefully unrolled it, and my eyes widened. There was a drawing of a woman—powerful, commanding, almost glowing with authority. Behind her stood an army of ancient wolves, massive and fierce. She was the largest among them, her fur painted in streaks of gray, silver, and gold. It was unique, radiant and intimidating. It was something I have never seen before… And when I looked at her, I felt something… a strange pull. Like she wasn’t just a picture. Like there was a connection I couldn’t explain.

The men sit up and Sarah becomes statue still. "Explain," Jason all but growls. "I had a vision last night. Witches can have visions, most times they come as dreams but, we can tell the difference. The woman I saw was in a room, it was really dark but she looked like she was bound. I used the glow of my magic to look at her face, I was shocked to see that the person looks like Sarah." She says the words in a rush and stops for breath. Sarah inhales.

But nothing came. The circle was quiet, their silence heavy with expectation. Miranda’s lips pursed. “As expected.” Aria bit her tongue, heat rising in her chest. “Try again,” Rosa urged gently. She nodded to a younger witch, Liora, with dark braids and bright eyes, who held a paper behind her back. “Tell us what she has drawn.” Aria focused. For a long moment, nothing. I picked it up and took a seat on the bed, before flipping it open. It was filled with… drawings. Drawings so realistic, they told stories better than any picture ever could. A smile curved on my lips at the fact that Asher drew all this. On the first page was the picture of a woman, who reminded me of Jane—or perhaps it was just the fact that she had red hair.. I turned over to the next page. On it was the drawing of a boy, seated in a dark empty space. The third drawing gave me a pause. It was of a woman in a bathtub, her wrist split and blood gushing out of the wound.
