First's form brightened. "Like when try new recipe with grilled cheese?" I sighed. Some things, apparently, never evolve.

I watched as the words curled into ash, then tossed the burned note and the broken glasses into the trash can beside me. "Thanks for the blessing. Psychopath." I spoke softly. The bell above the front door rang. "Mark! We got a job!" My new apprentice shouted from outside. "They pulled an unidentified body out of the Hillsbalt River! It's been in the water so long that it's falling apart! The police want you to stitch it back together!" "Charge extra! Water damage costs double!" I shouted back. Grabbing my black makeup case, I pushed through the door and strode outside.

I was supernatural and they roared their appreciation. When the war had ended and all returned to normal, the new normal, supernatural beings became celebrities overnight. Everyone wanted to be one or bang one. Sponsorships were given to any creature who wanted it and suddenly human celebrities went on the back burner. We were their new gods and they welcomed us as such.

Before I could start to cry, Gabe ran out, all legs and arms and thick curly hair, and helped me up. "You'll be okay," he'd said, brushing off my knees. "Shake it off." "The academy is a place for them to learn about the supernatural, train, and gain strength. They've been learning - though they didn't know it at first - how to help, hunt, and kill supernatural creatures of all kinds in case any of them came after my boys or, more specifically, you." I lifted my glass to take a drink and stiffened. "Why would anything else be after me?"

Because of fear their ridiculous things would reveal the secrets of the whole community, they were also to be watched by the Magic Council. One other side was to be inhabited by witches, wizards, vampires, werewolves, and hybrids of all kinds of all races. Races were compatible, who tended to congregate in one area of course. No one had the spare time to deal with hordes of supernatural beings that were always ready to make trouble and capable of inflicting terrible damage if fought.

Even first-hand accounts of things can’t always prepare you for what will happen. According to everything I’ve read, in the mating of supernatural beings, there is a transference of power as their souls bond. Typically, if the mating is between two supernatural beings, they mark each other and share their power as their souls’ link. As a human, there isn’t a way I can do that, not without becoming a vampire, which is not happening.

I do not believe in anything supernatural. Unfortunately, it seems like as of today, I have to rethink and reassess my beliefs. I have just had a supernatural encounter with a wolf. Wolfie can talk though it is only through our minds. However, the dirty wolf that attacked me, morphed into a human right in front of me. I guess that is enough to convince me that maybe there is a supernatural world out there. It also seems as if supernatural beings are infiltrating our world. Scrolling through, I see one that has a picture of vampires and wolves. Taking my bowl of popcorn, I settle down and start watching.

Then that shell would break to let out a creature that was hideous and scary and weird. In the process of trying to drive him away, they somehow ended up gravitating towards each other. Finding comfort in the unexpected company, deep secrets tumbling out in the middle of the night. The guy who got stranded for sightseeing was suddenly showing her perspectives she had never seen before. The girl who barely talks was suddenly telling him the things he needed to hear all his life. But at the end of the day, you should never ever trust a stranger. Soon the creature would enclose itself completely for the second time, never to be seen like that again. It was a period of transformation.

She immediately started picturing wrinkly old men wearing white robes and acting all high and mighty. Nodding Mason's face grew serious. "The elders oversee all creatures. Every century every form of supernatural being comes together to vote on who their elder shall be." Mason explained. "We have one to represent every different being." "Every form?" Danica repeated. "What else is out there aside from wolves?" Smiling Mason crouched down in front of Danica. "My dear there are so many more out there it would make your pretty head spin."
