Christina's pov I took in a deep breath, and we recounted what I felt outside when Luna stepped out to interrupt my yelling at Marcel. By the time I was done speaking, Melissa had a murderous glint in her eyes. “That witch” she growled, her hands curling into fists. "Witch?" I asked in surprise. "She's a werewolf, isn't she?" Or perhaps she was calling her that as a form of insult... Becca shook her head. "Luna Sandra is more than just a werewolf. You see, in this world, sometimes two supernatural beings mate and end up making a hybrid. Luna Sandra is one of them."

‌ Sabrina's voice trembled slightly as she mustered the courage to ask, "Andrei, when you mentioned other supernatural beings... does that include the vampires?" ‌ Andrei's expression softened, understanding the fear that gripped Sabrina's heart. He placed a reassuring hand on her arm, his touch grounding her in the present. "Yes, Sabrina, it does. Vampires are one of the many supernatural beings that exist in our world. While we strive for peace and coexistence, it's important to be aware of their presence and potential interactions with our pack." ‌ Sabrina's gaze dropped, her mind flooded with memories of the vampires' relentless pursuit. "Are they still after me? Will they come for us?"

"I would love those abilities, but how do we get them? Do we have to become one of you?" Sigmund takes this one, "If you want the ablities yes, you have to become one of us. It's not common to turn someone who isn't your mate, but it's doable." The man puts his hand out towards Sigmund, wrist up. "I would be happy to take on a supernatural ability. Since we can't just become angels... what do you say to turning me?" Sigmund looks at me a smile on his face. "Are you okay with that? The man may have adjustment issues, so you will have to be ready to heal him."

I don't even bother looking at the clock, Mia already said it's too early. Mia! My mind runs fast. What's happened in just 24 hours or less? I lay back in my bed facing the ceiling and the thoughts that I can no longer run away from fill my mind, and almost my body from the power they held. The supernatural world might exist! I am no longer just human. I'm more. The world holds so much more mystery than we might think. That I might think. If I'm this "Blessed", what else is out there? Werewolves? Witches? Ghosts? Vampires?

There are travel restrictions, employment restrictions, and more. Far more.”

He said his hand going to my lower back as he led me up the steps of the hospital. “Well what happens if one of the supernatural beings becomes dangerous or exposes the supernatural world?” I asked generally curious and even more in awe of this man of mine. “If a supernatural being becomes dangerous or runs the risk of exposing us we do damage control. We ask the vampires to compel people to forget about what they saw.”

The liquid inside shifted unnaturally. “He burned,” she finished, placing it back among the relics. Mae’s breath hitched. My stomach twisted—but I didn’t regret my words. The Ancient One turned back to us. “Becoming a vampire does not erase who you were,” she said. “It sharpens it.” Her eyes locked on mine again. “You will remember the fire. Every scream. Every face you failed to save.” Her voice softened, but only slightly. “And you will remember them forever.”
