Some hours later:- Trisha closed the bedtime story book. She looked at her son, who was sleeping soundly beside her. It was their daily routine. Rain likes to hear stories before sleeping. Before, he didn't have to do that because back in their apartment, Rain preferred Zee instead of Trisha to read the story for him. "His mom doesn't know how to read the story in a cool way," he explained. Trisha pecked her son's brow, admiring his sleeping form.

I stepped back into the twins' room, feeling defeated, but I couldn't let them see the sadness on my face anymore. Their tears had stopped. I couldn't give them another reason to cry. "Who wants to hear a bedtime story?!" I clapped my hands, feigning the giddiness in my voice. They chorused, equally as loud. "Me!" They curled up in bed with me, and I began telling them a tale my mother always told me before bed when I was a child. It was about dragons, the magical creatures who could breathe fire.

"Don't mind him Mum. You should also go to bed." "Me? Nah. It's too early. I slept for nineteen years remember?" "Come on. That's guilt tripping me." Sue whines and Holly laughs. "Fine. I will, but on one condition. You'll let me tell you a bedside story." She smiles, her smile holding a hint of sadness. Sue understands and nods, intertwining her hand with Ford's. "You'll read US bedtime stories. Come on." Soon enough, Ford and Sue are under the covers while Holly is holding an a old children book. "I hope you can read horror because I'm about to scare the pants off this little children." Holly sniggers and starts reading.

I said assuringly. “No. I don't wanna stay alone." She begged, dragging my wrist. Realizing that there was no other way I could leave the room, I came up with an idea. ‘I’m going to tell her a story until she falls asleep!’ "Okay, Marissa, you know what? I have enough stories to tell you, tonight! Do you wanna hear it?” “Yes!" She answered enthusiastically. "Then, climb into bed ASAP!” I said eagerly as both of us crawled into bed, throwing the covers over us.

"Really? And what stories does Mommy tell you?" Brandon tilted his head, thinking. "The Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and the Prince and the Frog." He hesitated a little. "Mommy knows lots of stories too, but she only tells me one each night, so she finishes them quickly." Peter grinned. "Is that so? Do you really like listening to stories?" Brandon nodded enthusiastically. "I love it." "Then, how about letting Grandma tell you stories from now on? Sometimes, Mommy gets very tired."

"What story would you like to hear today?" Garret seemed to ponder for a moment before answering, "About Pinocchio?" Lyyana nodded and smiled. Lyyana then began to read a bedtime story from the book of 1001 bedtime stories. Lyyana was very good at reading stories; she played with her voice and tone, making Garret look so enthusiastic listening to the story she brought. Occasionally, Lyyana's storytelling was interrupted by Garret's questions. Without Lyyana realizing it, a man was recording Lyyana's activities and sending it to their superior.

Harry continues, nearly breathless, "Daddy said he was gonna tell me a superhero bedtime story! One with a hero that looks just like us. He promised!" Violet's voice softens. "Did he now? Well, that sounds like the best bedtime story ever. But, Harry..." Her tone shifts, firmer but still gentle. "It's late, baby. Way past your bedtime. You need to sleep, or you'll be too tired to play tomorrow." Harry's face falls for a second before he sighs dramatically. "Fine. But only if Daddy tells me the story." "I'm sure he will," Violet assures. "And, Harry?"

“Your lifestyle is so boring. How does a story entertain anybody? Horror, thrillers, silly romance, history—blah, blah, blah. It’s a waste of time.” “You mean you’ve never read a storybook?” she asked, amused. “If books weren’t necessary for studying, I’d never open one.” “You’re unbelievable. Your response alone is enough to make me fall asleep. I’m leaving,” she said, yawning as she stood. “Wait,” he grabbed her hand, making her look back at him. “Will you sleep in my room if I tell you a bedtime story?” he asked. Kailani’s heart skipped a beat as she furrowed her brows.

I said with a small laugh. The remaining nighttime was spent in bedtime routines and warm baths, in stories and toothbrushes. Mirabel insisted on one of Clinton’s old bedtime tales — something about a crocodile and a mango — and I fumbled my way through the story while they giggled under their covers. When they finally dozed off, I stayed a while longer in the hallway, just watching them sleep. Japheth curled toward the window. Jake, hugging his teddy. Mirabel, one leg dangling off the bed as if dreaming of her little bride walk.

Andrea patted the bed beside her,"You can sleep here" "With you"Louis asked. His green eyes widened in surprise. Andrea stared up at him for a few seconds and went back to looking at her phone,"On the bed". He dragged his body to the bed and climbed in beside her. His body curled up, and he turned his back on her. Andrea's eyes moved from the phone to his body. She turned off the light,"Louis" "Yeah". He turned to look at her. "A doctor will check on you tomorrow morning".
