**Morning - 9AM** Lucifer stormed back into his chambers, dripping sweat from his early morning workout at the gym. He had pushed himself harder than usual, trying to silence the turmoil in his mind. But as he opened the door, expecting to find his room meticulously cleaned and in perfect order, his eyes widened in disbelief. The room was a mess—clothes scattered on the floor, the bed unmade, and the lingering scent of April that still clung to the air.

Add a VERY before that. "It's a quarter past 7 Miss. Arianna Charlotte Reynolds and yet you are sleeping like a potato. Move your lazy ass out before I lose my last string of patience and yeet you out of your bed," threatened my mom in a dangerously low tone that made a shiver run down my spine. I obediently nodded my head and ran away to the bathroom releasing the breath that I was holding without knowing. Scary momma! 1 hour before "Morning my apple, wakeup sweetie," cooed my mom. She pushed the curtains to the side and let the morning rays of sun poke my eyes. The room lit up partly as it was still 6 in the morning.

I simply couldn't afford it, not this time. Besides, it was only five in the morning, and the world was still in the delicate embrace of dawn. The streets were quiet, the air crisp and inviting. I saw an opportunity in this early hour—a chance to turn my journey into a serene morning walk, an escape adorned with the gentle whispers of nature.

I vaguely felt someone rubbing the bruising on my right hand while I was half-conscious. "What do you mean he got into a car accident, and that three critical-condition notices were issued? Is this a lingering effect? It seems like the wound on the abdomen is slightly infected. "I'll head out for a while. Have the nurse hurry with the anti-inflammatories and change the dressing. Go turn up the AC and get the IV heater in here." I pried my eyes open with effort, meeting a gaze full of worry. "D-Delilah?" Delilah replied, "I'm right here, so just go back to sleep, Tristan. You'll feel better once you've rested."

Morning did not ask permission to arrive. It came softly anyway, brushing the edges of the clearing with pale light that felt almost cautious, as though it, too, was learning how to exist in a world that had shed its old rules. The fires from the night before had burned low, their embers glowing faintly like quiet reminders of warmth rather than sources of it. Around them, people stirred—not all at once, not in any coordinated way, but gradually, as individuals waking into the same shared reality.

The pre-dawn air was cool and crisp, carrying the clean scent of dew on grass and distant woodsmoke from bakeries already beginning their morning fires to prepare bread for the day's market. The sky above was still dark purple at the edges, but a faint golden glow was beginning to spread along the horizon, promising the arrival of sunrise.

The morning of the meeting arrived beneath a sky the color of steel. Heavy clouds stretched across the horizon. The sunlight struggled to break through. Everything felt strangely quiet. As though the world itself understood the significance of the day. Interesting. Very interesting. Ava woke before her alarm. A rare occurrence. Not because she felt rested.
