He grinned and leaned forward. “Okay, your turn.”
“Hmm…” I tapped the desk lightly. “How about Novaré? It is from Latin. Means ‘to renew, to start again.’”
He repeated It softly. “Novaré…”
“It fits,” I said. “New beginnings. Second chances. Us.”
He looked at me, eyes softer now. “Us.”
I nodded once. “Novaré. That is what we will build.”
He smiled, and for a moment, everything felt simple. The chaos, the scandals, the past; it all melted away in that quiet certainty.
