Her eyes narrowed on a drawing, bringing the book closer to her face, a faltering yet confused grin on her face for a fleeting moment. "There are- " she paused, shaking her head for a moment, bringing the book up for another examination as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing. "In this picture," she began, her eyes trailing to mine slowly, a single finger against the image, "I-it almost looks like-like there are actual tears in his eyes." I snatched the book from her as if it was a need, my heart pounding harshly within me as I stared at the picture. I had never noticed this before.

Maybe they warned her against it, or she just didn't want to ask, whichever it is, I'm grateful for it. "You pretend to be scared of them," she said casually, now brushing my brow. "But you're not." I swallowed, "What makes you think so? I mean, you're seeing me for just the first time." She leaned closer, her lips ghosting over my ear, "I read people, darling." She whispered, "And your eyes? There's no fear. They're the eyes of a girl who bites back... Very similar Ice king." A shiver crawled through me, but I said nothing.

I begin to look around hurriedly so that I can get the idea of it all, before she comes to her room. Walking around like an aimless dog, I begin to check different things until my eyes fall on something I didn't expect my eyes would be on. Getting my hands on the book, written at the back is, 'my secrets..' I know that kind of book could be a lie and also, it can contain some elements of truth. I opened up and what I set my eyes on almost got my leg trembling. 'What! she planned all this.' I almost couldn't believe my eyes, because the sight of the plan is so terrifying.

, she said, keeping her eyes on the page and taking a sip. "Sorry? Didn't get you", I muttered. "The book", she said. "Oh! Do you have a third eye? I mean how did you know that I was trying to read the title", I asked. "Obviously, you would. You never saw me reading a book and it may make you curious about what I am reading. No?", she said. My eyes popped out. She finally looked at me. Undoubtedly, she looked like another woman in glasses. Her eyes looked bigger and she looked much mature.

But it doesn't mare his handsomeness rather it accentuated the sensuality of his brooding eyes. His squinted eyes were like a pair of judgemental beings that could see what was really inside her. It was strange, why would she even think that someone was lurking behind his dark eyes, judging her. Discerning parts of her that she did not know existed. “Let me go,” her voice faltered, to her dismay and shame. Why does she act like a weak girl in front of him? She felt his hand release her jaws before she could formulate an answer in her confused mind. A soft sigh of relief escaped her lips.

Sideways, as though crossing a doorway required keeping one part of herself turned toward escape until the room proved, inch by inch, that it would not close behind her differently than promised. The back door opened to Omar first, then the woman from the transport board, then finally the child. M.M. stepped inside without stepping fully inside, her left shoulder still angled toward the dark drive beyond. One small duffel hung from her hand. The other hand remained pressed against the tied strip of cloth at her wrist, checking it every few seconds as though the knot itself might disappear if she stopped paying attention.

She wasn't enjoying this. She looked heartbroken…..Completely shattered. "Please." She took a step forward. "You need to be careful." "Of what?" Her body shook. "Of what's coming." The fog around us suddenly darkened….The white mist turning gray…..Then black. My heartbeat accelerated. "What is coming?" The woman turned around and pointed behind her. At first, I saw nothing….Then shapes…..Shadows….Moving inside the darkness. Watching…..Waiting….Thousands of glowing eyes opened.

I felt alive, I felt like I had taken an energy booster. Her smile was so refreshing. Even her face looked angelic and divine. Not to talk of her tanned oily skin that glitters under the light. “lie back in bed “ She ordered in a dominating voice and I couldn’t resist. My body obeyed her order willingly as my body slowly went backward until my back touched the soft bed. We stared into each others eyes and I could feel her intense eyes slowly manipulating their way deep into my soul. It was as if her eyes were searching for something deep inside my soul or she was trying to tell me something through her eyes.

French toast, strawberry chops and turkey slices. And a can of coke. Unusual! "Something like what?" He asked, leaning back. "urrrrgh," I scanned the room until my eyes fell on the bookrack in front of me. "This!" I pull out one of the novels. “Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough,” he said immediately, without even glancing at it. He could tell which of the books were missing by just looking at the rest on the rack. “You read it?” There's suspicion in his tone.

As she turns the page of the book, she was greeted by the images of the current leaders of the mystical domain. At the forefront was Blaze's image, exuding an irresistible allure with his icy demeanor, and she couldn't help but feel a rush of desire coursing through her body as she gazed at those captivating golden eyes. The intensity of their stares was enough to make her heart race and her breath hitch. Those eyes were like a magnet, drawing her in with their hypnotic gaze, and igniting a fire within her that she couldn't resist. Every time she looked into them, she felt a surge of electricity pulsing through her veins.
