Disappointment hit me like a punch, but before I could say anything, a low rumble filled the room. The bookshelf beside the safe shuddered, then slid to the side, revealing a hidden door built into the wall, its surface etched with the same wolf-and-moon carvings as the library entrance.

Still, Ashton didn’t seem bothered. He walked with purpose, leading her past the receiving area, through the family room, and into a study. But they didn’t stop there. Another door. Then another. A room lined wall to wall with books. And still—they kept going. Behind a bookshelf, Ashton pressed something, and a hidden door clicked open. Cassie blinked, following him through. “So many doors…” she whispered, a soft, disbelieving laugh escaping her as unease began to creep in.

“He’s here.” His voice came out low. Hard. “He’s not the kind of man who runs.” The room fell silent again. Then Dante heard it. A faint sound. Almost nothing. A dull scrape. Behind a bookshelf. Dante turned slowly. “There.” He walked toward the wall. “Help me move this.” Two men stepped in and shoved the heavy shelf aside. Behind it was a steel door. Locked from the inside. Dante smiled grimly. “Found you.” He stepped back.

My jaw fell open the moment I stepped inside.

I know, because I can tell where the doors are supposed to be, but aren’t. Behind the couch, there are two wooden shelves, separated by an suspicous-looking wall. A wall that makes no logical sense to be left bare, if not for it being occupied by a door. “Fuck you, magic. At least make the shit less obvious.” I say as I run my hand along the bartop. I open one of the cabinet doors and see it’s stocked fully with beer. As my fingers close around the glass bottle, I feel a chill run down my spine.

The doors were not engraved with animals but names. I caught something different in Ashyy's eyes when I asked about those two doors. He's hesitant. "Nothing good, come on," without any answer, he pulled me hastily. Upon reaching the next floor we entered a magnificent door. "Wow, It is so beautiful." A beautiful big library was settled in front of me. Piles of books were arranged nicely at those big oak cabinets designed with the ladder itself. My heart tugged in happiness for I loved books, they're stress relieving.

I search the room carefully, looking through shelves and drawers till I come across a candle stand sitting on the shelf. What's a candle stand doing on a bookshelf, with tons of books? Doesn't Killian worry about his books getting caught in fire? Unless…... I picked up the candle stand, and to my surprise, it only moved an inch, then a resounding click echoed in the room. I yelped, stumbling backwards when the shelf started moving. It shifts to the right, exposing a door behind it. So doors like these exist not only in movies? Curiosity got the better of me, so I twisted the doorknob and opened the door. It led to another room, well furnished and dimly lit.
