The massive crowd surged forward, carrying cameras, microphones, and livestream equipment as they followed me around to the side of the building, where a wide open lawn lay. I stopped, turned to face the crowd, and pointed toward the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor. "Everyone, look up. That's Amanda Sutton's office. As for what's happening inside… I'll leave that for all of you to judge." Instinctively, everyone raised their heads only to fall completely silent the next second, for in front of that enormous floor-to-ceiling window…

Louis POV The velvet curtain swept shut, cutting off the dim amber glow of the lounge and plunging the alcove into a heavy, quiet intimacy. The sounds of the main floor—the clink of glasses, the murmur of conversation, the distant pulse of jazz—faded to a muffled hum, as if we had stepped into a world entirely separate from the one I'd just left behind.

" Just a moment." The room was dark, thick curtains covering the wall directly in front of me. My best guess was there was a huge window behind the drapes, hence the curtains. Either that, or there was something hidden behind it. The walls were a thick maroon colour and I could make out a vanity by my right. My guess was that this room hadn't been used in a while, that's why a lot of other things were covered with a tarp like cloth preventing me from seeing what was actually hidden underneath it.

Diana said, hushing everyone, "the sounds. They've stopped." The pounding had indeed stopped and no more noise or commotion was coming from inside the compartment. Well, that was until the strangest thing happened. They all watched what had once been a metallic cage made of titanium suddenly turn into a thick mass of green, a mass that seemed to be moving in a wavery pattern like an animated blanket. "Are those. . .?" Carter was asking. "Butterflies," gasped Natasha. The green 'butterflies' then cleared and the god came into view, no longer trapped.

Giant blackout curtains were all that kept the sunlight from pouring through each morning. Using an arm to cover my breasts, I inched open the curtain and peeked outside. The sky was painted in shades of dark blue and purple, hinting at the rising sun which would make its appearance in just a few short hours. I could see the outline of the forest that surrounded our estate, forming a half circle around the back. My eyes darted downward to the flat expanse of land below. A stone garden wall separated the yard from the forest and standing just on the other side of the fence was Tristan.

Dr. Green smiled moving away from the door. He hadn’t mean to eavesdrop, he just happened to walk past and heard their voices. He hurried to his kitchen, brewing some coffee. For them. Barely able to contain his smile. “We’re leaving, Dr.Green..” Dixon announced from the door. Dr. Green turned to them, standing by the door of the kitchen. He looked down at their intertwined fingers. “So soon, stay for some...” “We’ve a lot of things to do. Thank you for everything.”

She wasn’t asking questions anymore, she simply watched, heart fluttering with a strange, beautiful anticipation. After a few more turns, the path opened up into a clearing. Aurora’s lips parted in awe. Before them stood a stunning glass greenhouse, tucked away like a hidden gem in the heart of nature. Surrounded by trees and nestled beside a still, moonlit lake, the greenhouse shimmered under a blanket of tiny fairy lights that draped across its arched roof and glittered like stars coming down to earth. Inside, she could already see flickers of candles casting a soft, golden hue.

Harriet was pounding on the operating room door like it was the only thing standing between her and justice. "Stop, just stop everything! "Why should my son go through hell and back, and then give up his kidney to him?" Harriet's cries filled the air, her sanity slipping through her fingers like sand.
