His body twitched, a choking sound escaping his throat before his chest stilled completely. I stood rooted, unable to move or breathe. Then more sounds echoed from behind—growling, footsteps, claws scraping the earth. A shape emerged from the shadows. A wolf, its red eyes glowing in the dark, lips curled back to reveal bloodstained teeth. Blackwood. My wolf stirred inside me, snarling, ready to fight. I bent slightly, preparing to shift when another figure shot through the trees like a blur. A second wolf tackled the first, sending it crashing against a tree trunk. The first attacker lay still, unconscious or worse.

Then Mira suddenly turned sharply toward the forest. Her face went pale. I saw it instantly. “What is it?” I asked. Her voice came low. “We’re not alone.” My chest tightened. She stepped in front of me. The wind shifted. Then suddenly a dark laugh sounded through the ruined pack. “Well,” the voice said. “What a touching reunion.” I froze. A presence stepped out from the trees. It was tall and powerful, wearing black. His eyes glowed in the shadows. And behind him, Dozens of armed wolves appeared. My blood ran cold.

Chapter 58 Dracula’s pack attacked like a black avalanche. Massive bodies slammed against the circle of awakened trees with brutal force. Thick branches whipped through the air, striking the wolves hard. One of them was thrown backward, spinning several times in the air before crashing violently onto the ground. Another managed to sink its claws into the trunk of an ancient tree and tear through the bark, but thick roots burst from the earth, coiling around its hind legs and climbing up its body like living snakes. The bones snapped easily.

Then the rampage begun, she went towards Henry and growled really loudly like she was about to attack him but she was slightly able to recognize him, she tossed him aside and then Nicole turned and rammed her way through the door of the basement. She ran up the stairs to the old living room, the only instinct she had at that moment was to destroy anything in her path. I turned just in time to see the creature be intercepted by a black wolf coming out of the forest and tackling the creature to the ground, the wolf's sharp jaws ripping its heart out. A shout of feral rage echoed in the forest and another vampire began Flitting toward me from the other side. The wolf, seeing this, jumped in front of me, effectively blocking the vampire's path.

Some wolves looked unsure as they looked behind them at the trees at the back. We were surrounded by trees. Raphael chuckles unamused. "They listen to me you whore. Not you." "Kill them now!" He roared. The wolves leaped into action and it cost them their lives as the thick heavy branches whipped down on them harshly. So hard that many were squished to the ground. Some escaped but were too scared to advance towards me as the tree roots emerge out of the soil and whip against them, backing them until they were forced to retreat.
